Where I like the option of having the game fire for me, I also think you should be able to decide if you want the game to reload for you too. Fire yes Reload no
Yeah so I think you feel the same as I do about this game. It's fun and looks nice. I will say that you sound like an ad for Tegra chips... DT2 does indeed look amazing on my iPhone 5s so I guess we have that in common.
Me too, FPS games are my thing. I'm into Ps3, Pc games like Black ops 2, Killing floor, Homefront, Borderlands 2, The last of us, etc... Obviously console, pc games are the best for FPS, TPS games but on touch screen, they are surprisingly good. The modern combat series is the best for iOS. If you have a good device, they're a ton of fun to play. Takes a while to get used to the controls but with enough practice you can become real good.
I agree with you here. Being an old school gamer, I have always found the very idea of IAPs insulting and the epitome of greed. The problem is, they seem to work. I wish developers would adopt more of a shareware approach. Release a "lite" version, give us a taste, then let us decide if we want to spend 5 bucks for the game. That being said, How many games have you bought for iOS over the 5 dollar mark that have actually been worth it? The few that I have ended up having game breaking glitches / bugs / memory issues.
That is really encouraging actually! I gave a few FPS a go a while back. Admittedly it was for a short amount of time. But talking to you, a fellow FPS fan on console and PC, I can certainly relate to your perspective. This is encouraging to hear and I will "bite the bullet" on some more FPS's on mobile.
Depends on the objective of the mission you're on. Ammo costs you nothing, but can be scarce in some levels. I've noticed that if you stick to using your primary weapon, most of the ammo you find from kills will be for your secondary. Wise tactic is to constantly switch between both weapons so that neither is at full capacity. You don't NEED to kill every zombie every level...I generally do just enough to get 90% of the objective complete (in the fetch missions) then i basically kill as many zombies as I can to run up my total amount of cash picked up until I run dry of ammo, then end the mission by completing the given task
Yes, it's definitely a good thing if you're on the road travelling to play a game like Modern combat 2,3,4 ( all excellent games) or Dead Space, Cod/BO zombies. I admit, the more and more I play console/pc. It's harder to play on iOS but for times like staying at hotels or having a few hours to kill at a coffee shop, these types of games are fun. Getting back to the game, I'm thinking this game is definitely more fun than the original. I put in about 12 hours of Dead Trigger. I could see putting in more for the sequel.
Is Killing Floor cool? Right now is on sale in Steam and I'm thinking about buying it now since I'll get a better laptop soon and I heard about that game a lot in TA.
Is there a discernable way to tell if a mission is a turret/sniper one? Theyre ridiculously easy on hardmode (compared to every other mission) and good cash.
Just curious, is this game always-online? I remember reading somewhere that it required a constant internet connection to play.
I noticed how the devs are staying clear of this thread. I can't say I blame them but I would like some impressions for those who have played the game. Is the difficulty better than the first? How long is the campaign? Any cool bosses? Does it eventually end at Africa? I'm not sure where the final destination is. I will give props to Madfinger for making the best looking zombie game on iOS. I really wasn't expecting any miracles like Left for dead, or the last of us on iOS, ( we are still not at that stage yet)
While I'm steering clear of the thread in general as to not looking like I'm complaining, I do find it sad that the devs have not been active in the thread. As I mentioned in a prior post, I don't even really care anymore since I've resorted to playing this on my Android tablet, but I still would like just a simple response as to why iOS 7 was required. Just a response.
+1 Frankly, I only bothered opening it now because I saw your name and know the maturity level of your posts. Looking forward to seeing the name of one of those crazy cats from the Madfinger labs... DBC
i wish there was endless zombie mode... Story mode is good but gets boring i just want to murder zombies not become a slave of NPC's whims in the game.
I don't recall the first Dead Trigger being difficult at all (or is that what you meant?) ...however, DT2 is definitely challenging at times. First, you only start with 50 max health, and if you play on hardmode you cannot absorb too many hits before you are toast. Your health increases by 1 every level. You can carry painkillers that it appears you can use as many times as you like provided you have a supply of them. You craft them in your home base for a reasonable amount of cash. Not only can you use them to heal, but you can bump your health over your max for that particular mission too. The special zombies are what make the game much harder... Certain techniques must be employed and a lot of the time you don't have the space required and once you're cornered, toast. The Scienfist and Kamikazee zombies can be a real pain. Havent seen any boss zombies other than a giant titan one that was part of a scripted event in which you didn't fight it. Yet to finish Africa but I believe from other posts, it stops there ..for now? There is a clashmob like feature (campaign) currently going on in Africa. Certain amount of zombies must be killed cooperatively, your participation nets you a token reward. There is a leaderboard showing your kill contribution to the total.
