Yes you need to Internet to play which is why I deleted the game but will get it back if they ever change it
So how do you guys feel about the auto-fire? I personally love it. I feel it lets me spend my time controlling the strafing and aimming. I'd shoot when I've targeted a zombie anyway on a more suitable controller but with auto-fire it's much less a pain in the ass on a touch interface. But do you guys feel it takes away from the game in the same way auto-aim does? I'm quite curious!
Pretty short. There are only 2 campaigns, Africe and USA and I'd assume MF would add more in the future.
WIFI only or also 3G cellular network? I play BLOODMASQUE on 3G,and require an internet connection, this is only WIFI?
With my PC down and out, I was left with no choice but to update to the newest iOS on my iPad 2...god, what an eyesore. Because I really am not playing much else on it at the moment, I figured I wont be breaking any other games and I reaaaallly wanted to play DT2. That being said, the reviews so far have been pretty much spot on. There's very little that is new or an improvement over the first instalment. Same gameplay, same flat level design, same missions and campaign with a few little alterations here and there. The addition of a base and upgrade system is a little neat, but really just introduced timers and forces a ton of grinding on you if you're not willing to go the IAP route. The autofire option is nice but in some cases is a hinderance due to ammo being consumed in a less than effective way (holding down the trigger of any automatic weapon at range isnt the best way to get headshots). Introduction of special zombies and blue prints is a nice touch. Need an option to save your password rather than having to enter it every time you want to play. Wish more attention to SOUND was given. Even sub par gameplay can be fun if your weapons sound mean. That is not the case here. All in all, DT and DT2 still control the best of any fps I have played, so they did get that right.....I just don't see much longevity as the game stands right now. Tl;dr if you're thinking of going to iOS7 solely based on this game - don't. My god is it ever ugly, safari looks like it was designed by a child.
Liking the game.. I kind of wish it had Arena like DT1 and the campaign was longer, but oh well! It was fun.
u don't have to enter ur password every time. Once ur account is set, just hit the play button in the main screen.
Personally I'm not a fan of auto aim. After I downloaded the game on the iphone 4S, I went right into options for manual aiming and edited the shooting layout. I'm used to playing fps games on touch devices so a game with the auto firing isn't my thing. I will say this, the autofire is a cool option though. Anyway, so far I'm liking the game. The graphics are amazing, I still haven't progressed very far, but for a mobile zombie game this is actually very fun and (free) I have nothing to complain about, Good job Madfinger !
So I have looked over this Info.plist file. I see the MinimumOSVersion entries, but no 7.0 after it. There are several 7.0 entries in the file though. Which do you change exactly? Could someone copy the line they modified? Thanks...
Hello everyone I'm playing this on my LG G2 and wanted to post a link to other users also playing this on Android. If you have a capable phone (G2, Note 3, any phone with Snapdragon 800 + 1GB RAM+) you can enable Tegra 4 graphics. Note that you need to be rooted so that you can make an edit to a configuration file in /data/data. You can also enable Tegra 3 graphics for older devices but ones that can handle those. Just search XDA Developers. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46759702#post46759702. Dead Trigger 2 looks absolutely amazing on the SD800 architecture and runs just as smooth. There is a huge jump up in graphical detail between just normal "high-quality" and Tegra 4 "high-quality". I don't understand why DT2 defaults to low-quality however, seeing as the G2 is one of the best smartphones out at the moment. Does it default to low-quality on all non Tegra devices? I'm a fan of the gameplay so far. I am still in the US campaign (I plan on not spending anything on the game, which is a shame as I would have paid $20 for a supported (as in new content added) and fully open game model. Every game under the sun has them and uses the same model and nobody has learned that it's NOT fun and only HURTS gameplay yet people still idiotically burn through their wallets so where's the incentive to stop? People won't pay $10 for a game upfront but will happily pay (sometimes well over $100) in IAPs. If you can't justify paying an upfront fee for the game, why in the world are you spending much more in IAPs then you would have paid? Legitimate question as I'm curious. The fault also lies with the companies behind the development. I'm sure that the developers loathe adding timers and other ways to artificially hamper gameplay (of course unless you spend money). It's those who produce these games. Anyways, the graphics are incredible as I said earlier (playing in normal high-quality and Tegra 4 high-quality modes). It's satisfying finding a zombie game that I enjoy. When the Kamikaze warning appears, it's genuinely creepy while looking around to find out what type of zombie is coming and from where (and the best way to dispose of it). The rain and other particles quid effects are quite cool. I agree with many that the environments seem rather static though and t be lack of destroyable content is disappointing but it doesn't really detract from the game at all. I do commend MadFinger for keeping all of the premium content out while testing the game. They wanted to make sure that the game was 100% playable without any of it. So far it has been. It's sad though to have to add artificial timers into a quality game. It's like sending your gifted child to special education. And they lost out on the money I would have happily paid them (I've bought older MadFinger. games). I can't do a full review as I'm only halfway into the US campaign but wanted to post the Tegra 4 modification and leave my first impressions. Have fun!
Very cool to hear. I'm a huge FPS player, I typically have a really hard time on touch screens with it though so I wanted to get insight into others who DO indeed play FPS on touch screens and what they thought of the feature. I like that it's changeable in the options though. Good stuff!
