Yeah, I think it looks hilarious and can't wait to send in some exploding chickens I reckon the gun toting ones might need some shooting range practice though.
Geez, developers throw a (bad modeled) chicken in a game and all go like: "WOO!! WE HAVE EXPLODING CHICKENS ROFLCOPTER SO FUNNY LOLZ. THIS GAME RULEZ!" I mean c'mon... Don't fall for this.
It's having a sense of humour, not "falling for this". Try it on some time. Its a lot more fun than bitter humourless pessimism.
Hey man I've already got him making a high quality chicken model, I think (or hope) he understands the joke by now.
No, this is not humor. This is just another case of copying. I do find silly stuff in games funny (the goat in Trigger Fist, for example), but this is just sad. I don't find those chickens funny, but rather forced into the game and pushy. Very, very pushy. The mere fact that they showed off with these chickens in preview screenshots, proves that their intention wasn't "fun" but "marketing". It's called having a sense for market, not humor. I can right see all the speculation Marek had when putting chickens into the game. Google: "Dead Trigger 2 chicken" and you'll see that the devs speculations are getting real. Numerous examples of review sites you can see titles like: "Exploding chicken in the upcoming Dead Trigger 2!!!". And in comments: "Lololol!!!!! Gimme chicken xD!!!!!!!". I'm surprised TA didn't write a "Dead trigger 2 so funny cuz of chicken lol" article. If that's not "falling for it", then I don't know what is. It's sad that you guys can't distinguish pushy from funny.
Come on, lighten up. You know as well as anyone that I wasn't too fond of the first entry, but chickens with mounted miniguns? You can't help but chuckle.
The chickens are fun extra, it's not supposed to be taken seriously. You'd have to be a jaded old cynic to complain about them.
I'm not complaining about the chickens. I'm complaining about the way and reasons they are used by the developers.
