Congrats Connector, on your official status.

As much I enjoy Madfinger games, I was hoping that Dead Trigger 2 would go back to some story line ( Shadowgun) I don't really see the point in making a Dead Trigger 2 if there is no story, Co-op, etc.... Why not just update Dead Trigger. I understand it is a way for them to make more money. It's a business also but still doesn't make any sense to make another game as far as a fan perspective.

    :p I guess we'll see.

  7. Well, just when you post this, the two biggest haterz of Dead Trigger are put into timeout. So there must be a sign here.

Perhaps, it is not to be a haterz, perhaps it is to love and make babies, not war...

Perhaps, it is not to ask for things you don't need like title changes like I ❤ Dead Trigger.

This proves, that the good will prevail, and evil will be severely dealt with. Well, at least there will be a lull in our flame wars until they come back.

Poor haterz Jbruu and Primoz, I declare all flags be set to half mast in respect of our missing compadres. Let us take a brief moment of silence to reflect on the fact that haterz, can only hate, and that good will always overtake evil.

Ok, I gotta wipe now, see yaz for now...

  8. JBRUU isn't in time-out anymore...can I raise my flag back up?

Okay, I talked with Jbruu earlier, and he is doing well. He told me he is happy to have a lot of friends on this board, and never take his humour seriously. So yes, raise all our flags up a little until Primoz gets out of time out too.

Will the iOS version have the Android's version special effects this time?

Was surprised about this too... I do like Dead Trigger, but i see the faults in it that it wouldnt be on any of my top games at it's current state. It's good, but it wont be in any of my cream of the crop.

I hope DT2 can make me go WOAAAAHHH!

The iOS version has always had the special Android effects in Dead Trigger for A5+ devices.

I'm not sure why this surprises people.
We are talking (on this forum) about a mobile platform.
Dead Trigger is perfectly suited to that quick play platform.
Generally the haters are those that are used to the long term deep campaign multi hour play on a ps3/Xbox/whatever.
    That's not the mobile market.
Okay, the mobile platform needs more depth, more long term games, more hours of gameplay.
But for the majority of people who don't have the time or interest to participate on a forum about mobile phone games but who still enjoy games, a quick ten minute shooter fix while on a cigarette/coffee break from work/school/whatever is perfect.
Tech demo, depthless no story whatever way you want to look at it, the market is what the market is. Mobile phone games are still a distraction for a short period of time until you get back to the console.
I know loads are gonna disagree me on this one straight away and that's fine as for some the iPad is the new console but for the vast majority, its not. Yet.
You simply can't beat marketing. And the gameplay may be shallow but Madfinger got the marketing absolutely spot on.

    Can't argue with that.

As for the "mobile game without depth", its sadly true even though I hate to admit it.

It's important to note, though, that there is a market for the more hardcore, indepth mobile games, Gameloft, CHAIR and Firemonkeys are a testament to that.

Or to those who play only exclusive on an ipad/iphone.
Though I agree dead trigger is made for short bursts. Arena and the missions only last 1-10 mins. The market and targetting of this model is quite popular, and for some, tiresome.
I do hope DT2 has at least a good story. The original was decent.

    Absolutely.

I like what Gameloft and Chair do, Gameloft are doing a lot more now, but I have to admit Firemonkeys are the iOS high standard. They are the ones to beat.

And to be honest, my iPad has essentially replaced Xbox/ps3. So depth of gameplay on it is far more important to me now than it use to be. (Hence why i need FM)

But a quick fix at break time is handy as well. And Madfinger do that extremely well.

If it wasn't for work, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even bother with a ps4 (when it comes out) or any other next gen console.

Of course most of us here are still in the minority of gamers ("hardcore"), for now. That'll change though.

  17. I hope so too. Since it seems that this will be a showpiece for the nvidia tegra and Google Android, it really is going to be interesting how involved nvidia and google are in assisting with game development and game marketing.

This market pressure will be a good thing for ios too, while the android version just maybe better than the ios version will be, the bar will be set much higher for all console like games on ios, and competitors like Gameloft, Chair, EA, Firemonkeys, and Indies will produce even better console like games for all of us.

So even if Madfinger chooses to produce games that Demonstrate Technology, or choose to create Freemium games, I personally think you have to respect their decisions. That's what they think is important to them from their marketing analysis.

I look forward to seeing what Dead Trigger 2 will be all about. While Shadowgun
Deadzone was ok, I really have more expectations on Dead Trigger 2 due to it being a showpiece for the tegra. I do hope madfinger does learn from the past on how to deal with sometimes negative pr, and also they can create a new game that is a little less repetitive, and I hope they can add some really awesome bosses like in Deathsmiles.

I'm going to give DT2 a fair chance, and I hope everyone else here does too. It shall be really interesting to see how the ios version is, and I really look forward to seeing how this looks on hdmi tv (hehe, had to throw that in...)!

  18. This is what I am waiting for, I sure hope we get to shoot at this Zombie Giant!

The graphics do look amazing but so did Desert zombie when they released Trailers. Graphics can only get you so far but I appreciate what Madfinger has done with a simple but very cool arena shooter.

The best experience on iOS that I have played is Dead Space. I can't give enough appraisal for that game because it's so well done. I've played through it three times and I will play it on nightmare soon. More in depth games like that are hard to come by on iOS. I also appreciate the Infinity blade series and the Modern combat series for their campaign and mp.

Some of the games I'm looking forward to, is Forgotten Memories which could be a game that changes some boundaries on iOS and be in upper echelon of games such as Dead Space.

Also, I'm hoping 2013 infected wars could be a great one, with different bosses and a campaign story. It could be like a left for dead type zombie game on iOS.
