I must be one of the few that like the game because of the gameplay. I've always wanted a game like this. I just stopped playing it because it went freemium.

It was always "freemium". They just lowered the price. Everything else remained same. That's a lame excuse for not playing the game anymore.

Well that's you. Perhaps you haven't found the right game yet.

Dead Trigger wasn't either. It's an arena based game. Even when Madfinger released the game. They admitted there wasn't a deep storyline. Just a survival, kill zombies game.

Just wondering... Does anyone know if MADFINGER ever replied to the TA review? Or to DT being called a tech-demo?

Yah, they usually don't take well to criticism, even it is justified. They pretty much don't come on the thread anymore. In the original dead trigger thread,
I got the impression they didn't care for the review whatsoever. I can understand that.

Just because they don't respond to a review doesn't mean they "don't take well to constructive criticism".

Been talking a little with Marek in the iPad 4/Mini impressions thread and he's very polite (much more so than other devs I've seen) and sounds like a great guy. Hope they don't/didn't take the DT criticism personally.

I think the fact that English isn't his/his team's first language is also an issue.

Well hopefully they learned something from the review. If they didn't, I'm gonna lose hope for DT and MADFINGER.

You do have a point, he seems like a good guy and I'm sure they're always busy. I found it a little funny as soon as Eli called their game a " Tech Demo" they vacated the thread.

True. Talking to a dev who sounds nice (well... His job is to sound nice anyway) isn't an indicator. Not that I'm saying that talking with the community is a bad thing, but all the suggestions, discussions and comments should also reflect in the game. If it doesn't, then it doesent matter if there is a dev talking to us or not.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

His job is not to "sound nice", its to develop games and run the company he co-founded.

"Madfinger Games is a small privately held software company founded in 2009 by game industry veterans Marek Rabas, Pavel Cizek, Michal Babjar, Tomas Slapota, and Tomas Sauerstrom." Source Pocketgamer Biz.

The fact he participates at all is an indicator that he is interested in outside opinion and takes feedback on board.

The fact that he is nice to go with it considering this (and the other Dead Trigger thread) is just a Madfinger/Dead Trigger 1/2 hate thread (and a disgrace and a joke in the larger gaming community) should indicate that he actually is a nice guy.

I might agree with that statement in regards to the original Dead Trigger thread. But this thread has consisted of jokes and fairly good natured debate, certainly not the flame war and constant bickering that the original thread consisted of.

A disgrace to the larger gaming community? Arguing about whether a fairly dull game is a tech demo or not? Really?
