Yup, this is my opinion of DT. And I reinstalled it and played a few levels, just to be sure. But yep. GREAT graphics, lifeless gameplay. It is sad though, could've been great with better gameplay.
Hmm. What doofus came up with the idea that COD Zombies is in any way comparable to DT? First, COD Zombies is not a full game, it's a popular minigame that started with WaW and was wildly popular. Activision decided to release the minigame on iOS and profited greatly. It never tries to be a full, complete title but merely the add-on to COD. Second, there is simply no comparison in terms of gameplay. Zombies has a very tense, "let's stick together bro" feel about it. You are frantically repairing barricades, upgrading your weapons, opening the right doors in a strategic fashion, etc. The maps are very thoughtfully designed and provide a lot of opportunity for strategic survival. DT offers none of the above. The zombies aren't much of a threat. They're slow. They aren't scary. They look weird IMO. The maps/levels feel exactly the same, they're cramped and linear. Nothing feels oppressive or scary or frantic. It's not gory like a good zombie game should be. After an hour of playing you've experienced everything the game has to offer, except a bunch of weapons you need to buy with real money. COD Zombies can easily give 20+ hours of gameplay due to the map design and the strategy & co-op involved.
Wow, you leave this page for a half day and you come back to a tech demo discussion Here is my take on a few topics. 1. There is no way in hell that Dead Trigger is a " Tech demo". It is a survival arena zombie game. With a minimal text storyline. 2. Codwaw is an awesome game. It is 4 years old and is better than most games on the app store still. IMO, it is still much better than Dead Trigger in so many aspects. Better maps, atmosphere, perks, etc.... The controls are very good also. If you play tilt control and configure your settings. It is a hoot to play this way. 3. Dead Trigger is still a good game. I'm expecting Dead Trigger 2 to be much more appealing and interesting.
The Dead Trigger Camp for Flame War Refugees thanks you, as your flame war provided the perfect fuel for making s'mores
Get back to work! Now is the time for all that love Dead Trigger to come together as one and truelly proclaim their undying love! All Defense Squad members, we are now in Defcom 10, no sleeping aloud!!!!
Hey if the game fails to deliver, you can always play Tapjoy instead. Always good to have a back up plan...
Lets hope in DT2, easier to make money and shit. Oh and also some story mode would be nice. Because DT was just really boring. It was fun for like first few hours than it got really boring.
Great to see fellow Czechs with so support and fans. Go MadFinger! Wonder how much of the models/textures will be new in DT2.
No matter how impressive it looks, if it has same boring gameplay style, it will be just another "tech demo". Since when games become tech demo? That's how I felt like about crysis series. They looked awesome for sure, but gameplay side? Nothing really stood up.
I liked Crysis, because you could throw a chicken around. Yup, that was awesome. Seriously though, it had amazing visuals and and many amazing scenes. I wouldn't call it a tech demo though. It had a story and stuff. Madfinger just lost their biggest fan (JBRUU)...
