I hope so... a goreless zombie game is just an oxy moron for me now... It's kinda like saying that Dora is manly. It's just not good. So I do hope that blood goes flying everywhere, because that's the way that zombie games need to be.

Hey guys, i know this have nothing to do with iPhone version of the game but just wanted to share few pics from the PC version of the game. Hopefully if iPhone version sells well we will be able to fund an enhanced kick ass PC carnage version of Dead Strike (somewhere in 2010). One of the main thing that highlights the PC version is rendering quality. Featuring Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, PCF shadows(hard at close distances, smooth when falling off the source), larger view distances, higher animated poly models, ragdollz deaths, dynamic day/night cycles with auto-sun reposition to name a few. However, in this scene we are using the same environments as in iPhone version. Notice the opacity bug on the street trees ( we already know about that ). :D
    Enjoy (watch out your jaws)!

can we do without so much fog and sometimes the shoot button sticks and wont stop firing then sometimes its unresponsive.
i would like a hardcore mode or something where there are hundreds of zombies chasing you it would be diffucult but fun.
i really like that the zombies dont fade away right after you kill them and that this isnt a very easy game if it was easy it would be boring and if normals kinda hard i cant wait to try hard.
this is my favorite game keep up the good work
p.s. has the update been submitted if so when was it.

Bug fixes, everyone else already nailed the control part. Maybe specific item/weapons for some of the characters? Anyways, still a great game, right next to A4E :D

Hi guys, theirs a question that we would like you to answer. Is about the new controls coming in the next update. We need to know what you think if you like it or not, etc.
Well, so far so good, we can now have the choice between:
Call of Duty left stick, that let you move upward and backward and strafe left/right.
Resident Evil left stick, that let you move upward and backward and rotate to the left/right.
Both controls schemes let you walk and shoot, aim wherever you want, etc.
Is just the left stick that changes (COD one let you rotate, RE one let you strafe).
Wish one do you prefer or like for the update?
We can also add an extra button to the interface to let you switch between both control sticks. What do you think?

Well, seeing as you're doing away with the stand to shoot thing, I'm going to go with the COD controls. They're just more functional in a fast paced shooter where you also control the camera. Since you'll be rotating the camera with the other finger anyway, why put that on the joystick? If you were keeping the stop and aim mechanic, I'd say yeah.

In a fast paced shooter like this though, I prefer to be able to run and gun. It just fits the gametype much better. Makes it feel more like Left 4 Dead.

Ooh, any way we could get a First Person mode? That'd make the game skyrocket in sales. Alot of people prefer 1st person over 3rd person, so it could really boost sales (along with awesomeness).. Ravensword has an option to switch, why not implement that here?

Then do strafe instead of rotate. Much more mobility, therefore faster paced games, which leads to more fun! But less content :(
Then this'll be very close to L4D

Sure, if that what gamers want ^^, we will go for it. We also improved rendering speed, and so you will be able to fight twice the zombie amount. A total carnage!
Don't worry about the ammunition, you will have a lot of ammunition this time. ;)
    Cheers,

Georges (tatoforever), have you ever played Gameloft's first and third person shooters? Modern Combat: Sandstorm, NOVA, and Brothers in Arms demonstrates a GREAT control style you can use. Is the new method left stick to run back/forth and strafe, and use a finger to move your view around (in other words, like the aforementioned Gameloft games)? I'm tempted to hold off posting my review of Dead Strike until the game is updated, because we rarely update a review.

Yes, this is what we are working on (mostly done by the way). :D
We just drooped the left stick rotations, only move(forward/backward) and strafes to the sides. And slide your finger anywhere to rotate/aim.
    Cheers,

Sounds great! Guess I'll have to wait for the update to hit before putting up the article. What's an estimated time till submission? I really can't wait, because this game has huge potential.

So wait, do you still have to enter aim mode to shoot, or will it be more like Gamelofts fps controls? Where you move with the left stick, swipe to aim and have a button to shoot. Thanks,

    Osmiral

We removed the aim mode (you can now shoot directly), and replaced with a melee action button, that let you hit/showe your surrounding enemies with your current selected weapon. :D
Plus we added two melee weapons (baseball bat, knife) in case you run out of ammo. We also improve the rendering speed and that let us add more zombies (twice the amount) to make it ever more carnage!
Now, the controls, camera and combat system is shining. ;)
    Cheers,
