oh wow the graphics on forgotten memories is amazing!! damn why'd you have to show me this spring next year is too far away!!
Well, yeah, I'm aware Ravensword's options are really just foliage and shadows. I'm just saying perhaps there could be options for texture or model or whatnot - maybe for updates, or future games. Of course, that's in the ideal world, I don't know how having options would impact the game negatively (perhaps larger files). I read that post where you said the limited draw distance was intentional, and I'm happy with that Anyways, Forgotten Memories looks pretty good You guys plan ahead! Mind you, that the first youtube link is the PC version, the second is the iPhone.
wow "Forgotten Memories" is super for iphone! the second volume after "Dead Strike"! the graphic is much better and the same pc version hope don't compress it at the next year!
i know, but look at the graphics on the iphone version. it looks great and they still have months to improve on it!
I remember a post when amazinRuss ( one of the Reavensword dev ) told that the main difference between the 3GS and 3G is the draw distance. However i don't remember the forums, i think it was in here. Anyways, we are taking the possibility of having two versions of the same asset ( one for 3G, one for 3GS) for our upcoming games. However, the main problem with this, is that you have to make twice your assets, this could lead to a larger dev time. iPhone developers (as us) are just waiting for mass population of the lasted iDevice (3GS, ipod touch 3G 32/64GB), to make exclusives games for 3GS devices. Cheers.
Forgotten Memories is a nuke for the iDevice! Dead Strike is just the iceberg foot! This project was started early in 2008 for the PC. As you might know the production state is quite advanced: Assets are 100% finished: musics, sounds, models, levels, menus, weapons, items, various gameplay mechanics and systems. We also have in-game cinematic and voice actors. Am telling you, FM gonna blow out the App Store. I will create a new thread soon with lots of videos and in game mechanics from Forgotten Memories, as soon as Dead Strike came out to the App Store. Cheers.
Dead Strike will keep you busy while we work hard for ya on updates and of course Forgotten Memories it self.
The Credits theme from Dead Strike is written by Adrien Volpi and sing by Ben Spencer! What a theme! I hope you will finish the game, this theme rocks! Is the same guy ho sing Forgotten Memories theme!
We are thinking of having the posibility to add shaders to Forgotten Memories. So if the game detects any 3GS or iPod Touch 3G (32/64GB) device it will turn on pixel shaders ( normal maps, specular maps, pixel lights, projected textures, etc). Having shaders will make the game rendering quality almost identical to the PC version. Cheers.
We got featured on PocketGamer. Here is the news. http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Dead+Strike/news.asp?c=16811
Well i just finished to watch the trailer and all i can say is AWEEEEEESOMMMMEee. GReat work you guys.I want this game in my pocket as soon as possible
In some silent hill games there is a bit of free roam in the town until you find your next destination through clues, is this game similar in that you have to investigate to move your character forward? Also, in later updates or expansion packs do you think levels will be added? Like a hotel, hospital, school etc? So far I love the day and night changes Detail of characters and atmosphere of town (seems scary just watching it) The subtext reminding the protagonist what to do And I actually like not being able to run and shoot (likes James and Harry)
If English is the dev's first language... they should be able to write story text at least as well as a fourth grader. The first line: "Everything begun here, at Fallen Fall." Begun? Seriously? I can't buy this on grammar alone. Poorly written text completely detracts from a story's effectiveness. I want to like it, but sorry fellas. Pick up a Grammar & Composition book before releasing this into the wild. "All your base are belong to us" gets a pass because of it's creative Engrish.
We have few guys working on the multiplayer system of Dead Strike and other guys working on the sequel ( Forgotten Memories ), i already posted few indoor videos about Forgotten Memories ( page 6 on this post ). Theirs no indoor levels for DeadStrike, only Outdoor levels in a huge European city style, cute down by 46 levels. However, the sequel will support additional gameplay mechanics, indoor and out-door levels, find objects to solve puzzles, etc.
