  1. Judging by that "movement" screenshot he posted, retina display is definitely supported.

On second thought, I hope we don't have to keep our finger on the character to move around? One of the great things about Dead Space is how clutter-free the screen is, so I'd hate to hide the character with my finger. Hope I can just touch and slide on the bottom left corner so I can still see as much of the screen as possible.

    Cheers :)

No, it's like in Battlefield, the left side of the screen is for walking, the right side for aiming.

    Controls

It looks like it will not have on screen controls... These is probably using the same engine as battlefield2 where one side of the screen you move and the other side fire and action... This will deffinetly will be more fun on an ipad where you dont hide half of the screen with your finger.. Instant buy for me.. :)

You're holding it COMPLETELEY wrong if you're covering half the screen. It's more like 10-15% of the screen.

Either way there are not too much options of how to hold it and it also depends on how big your hand is... More than once on battlefield2 i had to release all controls to see what was hapening on the screen.. If you played bf2 you know that to walk you slide just a little bit up your finger... And to run you have to slide it almost all the screen up...

I dont think these configuration is bad... I find it easier to aim and fire... But at least with the virtual joistick you have to keep your fingers in one place only...

Battlefield Bad Company 2 had bad controls IMO. I much prefer the controls of gameloft's FPS games where you can control everything with your thumbs at the edges of the screen and they don't get in the way at all.

Yes, I have played BFB2 on my iPod, and yes, the controlls do suck compared to those in gameloft games (@EA: The option to switch to controlls similar to those was awful, I want to be able to aim on the left side of the screen above (and arround) the virtual sick too!).
But, still there's no way your thumbs are covering half the screen.

You will not need to cover much off the screen at all to control the game. I really think you will enjoy how we setup the controls, along with how the camera reacts to your movement.

Do you have the option to turn on the d-pad/ joystick, because i like my virtual joystick and shooting button.
