has anyone figured out how to get into the north street section of the game? or the are jus south of park plaza?? any help would be appreciated!
Improvement ideas: A/ Multiple Safe rooms instead of a phone box where you get missions, more interesting missions maybe bringing people from one place to another while protecting them, a way to get more zombies on the screen at once. The one thing that made me play dead rising 2 was being able to just annihilate hordes of zombies. The kills just arent satisfying in this.
New Version 1.10.00 Hopefully you will gain access to the north parts and the amusement park in a next update. Played the new character from 1.1 to level 12, so far nothing really new Well the Mad Zombies are harder to beat and the guy carries more ammo for small handguns. And I think there is a bug in this new version: The guys I rescued don't dissappear after rescuing. You can rescue them over and over again... Found a new achievement though: Broken Bones: You drank 20 bottles of Milk (300 PP)
Yes, for some reason it isn't showing up at the sale price on Appshopper, but it does when you look at the itunes page.
According to my Appshopper, it went from $6.99 to $1.99 today. Was at $6.99 since Dec 29th. So looks like it is back on sale with an update.
In the update notes it states only that they added another character, however in the TA article about the update, this was said: So has anyone noticed these further improvements to the game? Or is the consensus still that the game is a steaming heap of crap?
i would say the quote is somewhat right. capcom changed something, it feels a little bit smoother and fluently. but if u didn't like it before, i don't think u will like it now, because the gamestyle is the same ... no new missions, no new challenges.
I seriously don't get why so many people are complaining that it's a crap game. I brought It the day it came out , was so into the game. I'm a huge console/pc fan of the series. The highQ textures are nice on the retina display, and for those who are complaining about controls and such just don't have the skills yet. I play tons of games on iPhone and it just takes a day or so then you gain the experience and skills to play the game like a pro. The weapons are bloody awesome.. You can get a concrete drill which you can drill into a zombie and it spins around, and you can start walking with the spinning zombie on drill to hit other zombies. Theres a white light saber..You can get a range of guns, go to the roof parking area and you get a sub machine gun, nice pistol, riot shotgun.. and other thing good adopted from the original are the wrestling moves.. THEY PWN the zombies.. Backflip is my fav..>>> one question though.. How do you unlock north street????<<<.... There's safezones on the map in north street so it should be real..
Took the plunge and bought it since it was updated and on sale. It's not as bad as the reviews make it out to be, compared to other zombie shooters. For one, you actually have some daily missions you can do which give you experience points. You have free roam of a very large mall. You have a LOT of typical weapons and improvised weapons at your disposal. You can get books for skills. And you do have Gamecenter achievements that give you points in the game. The controls still need work. The virtual analog stick controls both you and the camera (think chase cam) so this makes it a bit tricky to turn around in the midst of a zombie swarm. You eventually figure out how to turn effectively but dual analogs would have stomped that learning curve down. That's my only gripe about it, but one can overcome it with some practice. At least its Retina enabled. I think it's definitely worth at least the sale price $1.99. I'd be on the fence at the former $6.99, but two bucks I say go for it with the caveat that the controls will be tricky at first. I do not know what it was like before the update.
The thing that has turned me away from it, even at $1.99, is that the zombies seem (from the video I watched) totally uninterested in chasing you. They just seem to be milling around, waiting for you to walk up to them and shoot them in the head. Kinda seems like that would kill the suspense.
Things are better after the update graphically. Still not perfect, but better. The thing is, for some reason, even with some problems present, I can't seem to stop playing it. It's just plain fun. I can pop in for 10 or 15 minutes, knock off a couple of zombie bashing missions, and get back to what I was doing. The addition of a new character is cool, but really, I just like the game as it is, warts and all. I can't quite explain it, it's something intangible, but I just keep coming back to the fact that it's fun. That's it.
Yeah, I like the missions and RPG like qualities. Missions don't take long, your progress is persistent, and feels more full of depth than say Call of Duty: Zombies. I do not know how to unlock North Street, since I just got the game. Wish I could help. It is true, the zombies have a very small aggro range before they will come chase you with only a few exceptions. There are a LOT of zombies, more than I expected for a mobile game, but yeah you can actually avoid most of them until you reach a pathway they are blocking or a mission point they are guarding. I will see them and can just stand and watch long before they come after me. I can understand that being a turnoff. It would certainly be a lot harder than it already is to me.
lol maybe north street is a fake.. Just makes the map look bigger? .. The zombies get way harder to beat and there's WAY more when you advance in the game..
