I'm sure you would have figured it out when you reach the end of generation 2. Though since I gave spoilers, we'll never know
Bug: 2 Coconts disappear after moving them. I had 2 coconuts in my 1/25 slots, 2 in a 8 slot container, and dragged my 2 from 1/25 slot to the container: then I had 4 in container and tapped twice to get two out, then when 2 were in my 1/25 slot again I tried to drag them to move but they disappeared
Ok I'm officially done playing. This time I started a 3rd generation and invested food but she never came back with my investment. She should have been back 5 times by now to re invest but never came back. The first time she came she asked for 500 food but I said no, then she came back and asked for 2 different amounts and I chose the smaller amount and invested it & then she never returned with my investment, ever. Now I'm done playing for good because all I ever do is craft food and it's never enough. It's not fun when 60% of everything you do involves crafting food. Craft food Cut trees Craft food Cut the branches Craft food Create rope Craft food Use rope Craft food Make tools Craft food Use tools Craft food Not fun. Replace every "craft food" with "do something tedious" and over 1/2 of the game is tedious. Crafting food is so low value that it is not fun. If crafting food was actually worth anything it would be nice to do. I didn't download this game to spend 1/2 my time trying to craft food. And I would love to make tons of bowls of cooked food like [water pot + carrots + meat] but it's just stupid that water pots can disappear after using. Water pots dont break in real life after using them once or twice or three times. They need to never break. That's logical. Even in primitive times they don't just up and break after using them. Pretty sure they only break if you drop them and in a video game I'd hope our playable character isn't a clutz. And Making those pots takes way too much time and it would take way too much worthless food to do all the work that it would take to make all those pots. There's way too many small frustrations in this game for me to recommend it to anyone. IAPs are overpriced and too many tedious work mixed in with enjoyable work. It was a mixture of fun and tedious work that kept me playing but the tedious work was too much to keep me playing. I got the game for free during a promo and I never bought iAP because it's overpriced, so devs didn't make money off me even after playing for a month, and I won't be recommending the game, so that should be enough feedback to make some changes. If these things both change then I'll revisit the game to reevaluate: -Lower iAP to be generous not greedy -Take away tedious tasks Edit: also coconuts shouldn't disappear randomly after eating out of them. That is not logical. Oh and i would have easily spent money on IAPs if they were generously priced. I said before, u need to price IAPs in a way where people go "whoa what a great deal, I can't pass that one up!" Instead I'm like "whoa really wishful thinking"
What would solve a bunch of issues is it crafters became efficient at crafting not only though increased chance at success but also increased chance say crafting an item at no energy cost. The more skilled we r at crafting an item, the more chance we should have to craft it at 0 energy loss.
you're right about it. Initially its fun surviving but later on food should be a more easily obtainable resource (though not as easy as the millions of energy kind of easy) If you have ideas for this I'd be happy to hear but for v1.3 I've added some buildings like Farms/Traps/Hatcheries .. so with that you will be able to set it up, leave the game come back and you will have a whole bunch of food to use. And hopefully we balanced it well so it won't go into millions of energy and it won't feel like a grind.
I wish it was easy for us to change the crafting mechanic but it will break the whole game if we change the pots not being able to break while trying to cook food. When we first started making the game we never envisioned that we will be adding pots & containers.
The IAPs are mostly for donations, but we're trying to take your earlier advice on bringing them down and making them more accessible & increase the overall donations. Though we're trying to design the game so that the IAPs are not needed at all. - Lower iAP -> Could you design all the current iAP's and what you would want to pay for them. - Tedious tasks: Hopefully new buildings will decrease this a bit. We're also constantly adding smaller other stuff which hopefully makes it better bit by bit.
Hmm so you're suggesting instead of increasing the amount of food obtained we can decrease the amount of energy needed. Hmm Need to think of ways it could happen, how it would affect the game, how it would fit, how hard it would be for players to understand etc..
Updates. Fixes. I sometimes get really frustrated with bugs and having to wait for a patch, which comes with the territory when testing, but still. The minion away bug somehow caused my cloud save to not be able to load anymore, which made me lose all the gen items I had earned to that point. I basically had to start from scratch, which really sucks. All my stats, all my gen items, gone. Almost quit for real that time, but there are some cool things coming in 1.3 so decided to come back for that.
Trash Can... Love the trash can, but the icon being round is kind of odd with the rest of the UI being predominantly square shapes. Its obvious that it is a trash can, so there isnt really a need for it to be a different shape.
Strange glitch when trying to move items to and from baskets. Somehow my basket titled Furs & Bones showed the generic Small Container name with no contents but when clicking on it th evil nake and contents displayed. It also added a charcoal to my inventory. The charcoal was gone and the basket was working as it should after closing and relaunching the app. Not sure how to reproduce it.
