Ratings review This game has a steady, but engaging pace. It never drives you hard enough to wear you out but it also never goes slow enough to bore you. The storyline is mysterious and can't wait to find out more. I can't recommend this game enough, fantastic work. Thank You. Brighid
On my first play I interested food over and over for a long time and had sumwhere between 2,500,000-2,800,000 food iinvested and then I Did the love hut for the first time without taking my food first, and now that I'm generation 2 she came back and offered me all my millions of food, and they are like hundreds of thousands of "meat omelette" (+51) but 1) I can't keep investing because all I can do is take the food, I can't give it back. So it's like I have to take it all before starting investing again and then they will stArt really low again..... And 2) I can't take all the food because I don't have room for it. the ONLY minion "?" that pops up is to take my food and that's all. And I will never have enough room. When I take the food it fills every single space And then I have hundreds of thousands left to still take later. 3) So I am missing all the of "?" quests that pop up because I'm ready for generation 3 but The only "?" I get to paeticipate in is taking food 4) I when I click the "?" And it offers the food, I have no consideration but to take it or force quit the app bcuz I can't say no, only "take" and I can't tap out of it. I can't tap on the outside of the box to exit The offer. I have to take it or force close so I always manually force close the game and reopen. 5) I'll be missing all of the "?" Games and events and quests for forever because now I can't accept new villagers. It stops many parts of the game and now it's boring. I don't want to play anymore because I am missing a lot of the game since I can't take the food and it's stuck on giving me food. 6) there's no way I'm trashing all my food because I worked really hard investing my food and it's already set up to let me take food in other generations so I want to be able to do what every other player is able to do and get rewarded for investing. It just happens that my reward is so big that I can't take it. And I'm not going to trash my reward just because I worked harder that everyone else that invested not so much and didn't have this problem. 7) there shouldn't be punishment for having too big of a reward for hard work. Punishment is not being able to play the other parts of the game. I had to make every food on my first generation without tasting any reward until my son got it on 2nd generation. 8) I got interrupted and forgot my 8 but I might think of it Edit: I have 48,000+ Meat omelette still to take and my bags are full of meat omelette too much already
another problem. I have 100% Apron I try to craft Tinder 91% success rate. I fail many times and skill does not increase. If i fail to craft Tinder 5 times, 1 of the 5 times me skill increase. So much for 100% apron. More like 20% apron. What do I not understand?
I think the apron increases the chance by 100% of what it was. So if without the apron your crafting would have a 10% chance to give you a skill up, with the +100% apron, it'll have a 20% chance.
Well that was a bug on our end. But I placed an investment limit to Sequoia in v1.2.1 in test version. You will see it in v1.3. When it comes to your situation, I think you have 4 options. 1. Trash the extra food you have (which you've said that you didn't want to do) 2. Make lots of storages in your village and move all of the food there. 3. Just skip to the next gen and play a cleaner game, though you may want to get as many GP's as possible in your current gen. 4. Wait for the v1.3 update. (will probably come out in mid Nov) Btw I think that having too much food decreases the fun of the game. I'd personally go with #3
Apron works like it says it works, though when your skill gets over 60 the skill gain curve is felt a lot. So if your skill is around 70 then yes its normal for it to be hard, even though you have the apron. But I assure you the math checks out.
- When you craft using similar items, those items open. - If you want to definitely open a certain part of a recipe you can use recipe part tablet - You can guess the recipe by trying items I can not think of another method for opening up the recipes. If you have an idea please let me know. I also think that it'd be good to add another way to unlock recipes.
Ty for response I wish it wasn't a bug. We should be able to leave our son some food... What's a good amount of gen points to have before restarting? And how do I gain GP? Does each skill level increases GP?
Why can't y'all put it out v 1.2.1 patches like so many other games? There's bugs that need to be fixed without having to make huge upgrade. Plus v 1.2 wasnt even a huge update idk why it took so l long to get to us. We need Update 1.1 (new features) Update 1.1.1 (bug fixes) Update 1.1.2 (typo fix) Update 1.1.3 (bug fix) Update 1.1.4 (bug fix) Update 1.2 (new features) Update 1.2.1 (bug fix) Update 1.2.2( bug fix) Update 1.2.3 (bug fix) Update 1.3 (new features) See this would be so much better. It just makes sense to do what most other games do and update the bugs at least every 2 week. I've found it a bit lazy and unappealing when games update bugs once a month. It shows me who's actually committed to the success of a game and who isn't. So honestly I'm pretty shocked about Dawn of Crafting having updates every 2 months ever since version 1.0. It makes me imagine that after version 1.0 yall started working on a new game and now this one is in maintenance mode with updates every 2 months, as if this is now your hobby to maintain rather than main project. But that's just what I think. Since game used to have updates a few times a month to now every 2 months. As a daily game player I look for games where devs are super active on games after launch. If I didn't see y'all responding to forums daily I might give up on playing because there's not a game on my phone where devs don't update it regularly. I don't even bother with those cuz once devs stop updating the bugs it makes me feel like the game is dead. Like no point in playing if the devs put it on the shelf and moved on. That's also a reason why I never play Kongregate games cuz the devs don't invest time into any game. They release version 1.0 and immediately move on to a new game. Never release expansion packs, never new features to keep games interested, they're just games you play for 30m and then delete off your phone. And many other game studios do the same thing as Kongregate which is why I don't bother with a lot of other game companies as well. The daily forum interaction is the only real reason I still play dawn of crafting because it makes me hope your going to keep developing the game. But once y'all stop, I stop/
The problem is we only get downloads when Apple features the game in their home page. Apple only features the game when we put out big updates. Apple takes 6-8 weeks to review updates. If we send a bug fixing version in the middle of a content update, our waiting gets reseted... Oh and also it takes about a week for any update to reach to players anyways, because of Apple review policies. We used to send weekly updates with features and bug fixes, but we can't do that anymore. We're only to blame because we picked the wrong platform to make games for. I agree, updating like that would be more beneficial for everyone, but we can't do it in this game.
I've loved this game for a long time and it's always fun to unlock something new! Whoever came up with that motley crew of maniacs is a complete genius. (It was me, and I'm an idiot.)
Right now and for this whole year I've had apps that u update weekly with bug fixes. And like I said my other games on my phone are updated every 2 weeks. Dawn of Crafting is the exception. Why is it that other game developers can and still do (all year and right now) update their games weekly or every 2 weekly and u guys can't? Either apple is singling y'all out and not treating y'all like other developers or idk, but doesn't make sense why u can't do what do many others can. Ok well u used to do it. Why can't u anymore even tho others still can? Right now u have games updating weekly and most every 2 weeks or less. And that's normal. So what platform are all of your future games going to be on?
Depends on your personality. If you're a completionist 1000+, if you're a normal player like me 250-750GP should do. Btw it is easier to get more GPs in the next gens because you can level up faster and such. Also you can get extra GPs if you win the game(save alf). You can tap the "?" in Mating Chamber to know where & how to get gps. But my favorite is using the merchant building and getting a lot of shiny stones.
Depends on where they get their downloads from. We frankly don't get many downloads unless apple features us. Some games have huge teams/budgets where they are able to optimize everything to a profitable point and get users in with Ads. So they don't rely on the appstore. Other games probably use different techniques we don't know of. Some games have publishers like Kongregate where the publisher handles new users so devs can focus solely on game development.
We are still updating almost weekly or every 2 weeks. But we don't push it to the original release. The main reason is what we said earlier apple feature submission guide. I can explain another reason with an example When we pushed v1.2.1 to the testers we got like 10-20 people saying their game crashed with lots of bugs and such. When we pushed v1.2.2 to the testers we got 5-6 people saying their game crashed. Imagine this being pushed on the store. It would be catastrophic for us. We wouldn't be able to get any work done because of all the incoming messages. 10 days ago v1.2.1(test): http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=4055297&postcount=544 8 days ago v1.2(store): http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=4055931&postcount=553 3 days ago v1.2.2(test): http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=4057250&postcount=577 new test version will come in 2-3 days
