If we're talking further into the year... everyone needs to check out the Just Cause 2 videos.

Split/Second looks fantastic for a Disney game. Hopefully, they'll pull it off. Gotta take a look at what else is coming out soon.

Just to reemphasize what I said a moment ago about JC2:

...and yes those are in-game actions. None of that shitty cut scene stuff.

Watched the trailer... eh, seems like a more epic version of Bionic Commando. Not totally sold. The entire time, it was whizzing here and there with the little grappling hook.

I think they're just trying to sell the game based on the grappling hook, there's a lot more to the game though. You can fly helicopters, planes (including fighter jets if the first game is anything to go by), drive all sorts of vehicles (cars, buggies, trucks, motorbikes), speedboats... and the grapple hook is basically what joins them all together.

Get in a speed boat, hit a ramp, soar through the air towards the island, open your parachute mid-air to catch the wind, float over to a freeway, grapple a truck, reel in and grab onto the back, maneuver around the side, perform a quick-time-event to take out the driver and jump in. If you're in a mission there might be a VIP in the back, in which case it'd be a good idea to drive the truck off a cliff and eject yourself as he whizzes off through the sky towards an oil factory. It's all good fun!

That previous paragraph was all based off you can do in the first game (and stuff I've done, so you can be sure it's not an exaggeration ;)), and admittedly the place where it failed was the on foot combat, but apparently this has been addressed with the sequel. I love the idea of being able to tether two things together... there's a video with him tethering an enemy to a gas cylinder and shooting it... you can imagine what happens.

Edit: oh, and it's open world of course. The first game was 250,000 acres/1,012 square km/391 square miles, and I'm pretty sure this one will be at least the same size if not bigger.

Haha that review was crap. They didn't give any reasons that stuff was bad. They just said it was kinda easy on medium. That's the point of having a "hard" mode. I'm still getting it though. IGN is one of the only negative reviewers.

Lol, thats the only reason for a 7.8? Im still getting it.
But I hav noticed IGN likes to give rather low scores... Well lower than what it shuld b in most cases!

Well, they said there were slight slowdowns and screen tearing, but not bad enough to change anything. The guy even said the game was really fun! I don't care though, cause I know it'll be awesome. :D

Well I just played a few hours of Bayonetta and I'll probably never look at action games the same way again. This is the epitome of what it means to have"fun" in a videogame, and I'm surprised that the game didn't get a bigger marketing budget. Ironically the demo was what got me into getting the game and it isn't a good indication of how awesome this game is! The only issue I had with the game was the occasional screen tearing, and I've never really noticed that in a videogame before. I'll probably pick up Darksiders next but I really need to look into the screen tearing issue more. It can be really distracting sometimes and take you out of the game :(

The Dante's Inferno demo seemed like a very solid God of War clone, and I'm interested in seeing how the full version compares to Bayonetta!

What do ya think? I watched part of the first level online and it looked pretty awesome. A little easy, but first levels always are.
Suck though. My parents are out of town and I'm only 16 so I can't buy it myself. Also, I live 30 miles from the only place you can buy it, so I can't just have my friends go with me to the local store to buy it. Efff....

    It's rated 15 in the UK ;)

It's alright so far, I've only done the first level, probably the one you've seen... so right now it's mostly just hack n' slash. About to go onto the next part...

Augh dang the rating system here. Seriously, I think gore shouldn't make it a Mature game. Excessive Swearing and Nudity, yes, but not gore.
If you were in the army and saw someone get shot, it would be 10 times worse than any gore in any video game, and you can get into the army once you're an adult. Why can't you but this when you're a Teen?;)

They just love having control over stuff. This game isn't even realistic with it's gore, it's all kinda World of Warcraft and cartoon-like, but you can kill innocent humans so I guess that's got something to do with it.

Ratings are kind of dumb now a days yeah.
And ur def. right they just love to be in control, its rediculous.
And you could get on ur computer at any time of the day and see way worse stuff than any of these "Mature" games...
But, will probably never change. atleast we are not like autralia, i think lots of games get banned there for being too mature... but idk if im right lol hope so.

and remember kids, when you play too many video games, your paragraphs end up looking like the above.

    Haha! Win.
If I had the internet high five picture I'd put it here... But I don't.

Finally got it though, and one word describes is. Epic.
BTW, i LOVE Zelda, but I'd rather play darksiders. Not as many items and armours, but so much more Bad-A.
I mean, why open the chest the way it's made for when you can punch through it or smash it to pieces?
