Yes, it's worked. Apologies! I'm new to Apple devices and Android tends to function a bit differently. I'm impressed you're doing this much to engage with your customers on an English-speaking forum when English isn't your first language. I hope the game's a success.
A few tweaks here and there and you have a winner in this huge runner-genre. For me it already is ! So i unlocked the princess just to motivate you and the team for updates to come. The fireball-alarm is (in my ears) annoying. To much repeating. Could one be enough ? BTW...playing on iphone4 with latest ios. Did the whole "procedures" and have no problems to play. Well, a bit lag once in a while but nothing bad.
Trying to figure out what exactly constitutes a "jump-up item." Trying to complete that one mission, but it's kinda vague. Also, what are the stats for equipment. The text is so tiny in the store, and there is no description of what each stat even does. Also, mission rewards say 2000, 5000, etc., but you only actually get 200, 500, etc.? Not cool. Won't pay for the princess. She should be included in the game. I'm never going to be a fan of IAP, especially in a game I paid for. But I definitely think this is a fun endless runner. Love the Castlevania-esque vibe, and the mechanics are satisfying. Pretty much agree with the criticisms pointed out within this thread, but it's still worth a buy. Fix some things and give us that princess with the cost of the game, and we'll be straight.
1. A "jump-up" item is the one which looks like a wing, while you touch/collect it, you can jump higher. Maybe we should call it "Jump-Boost" item? 2. We didn't say 'reward you 2000 or 5000 gold when you finished a mission'. We don't give any gold but give you some exp(sun). 2000 or 5000 in Mission panel just means if you cannot complete this mission, you can paid 2000 gold to pass it. 3. I think it is a very common thing that there are some "In-App Purchase" in paid app now.
Iap is reasonable if its like jetpack joyride's system, otherwise you hear back from very angry consumers. The unlocks in this game are pretty high and difficult to get without grinding.
Prices in in-game gold are maybe a little high, yes, but if I buy an endless runner game I'm mostly interested in the endless running. Nothing's saying I have to pay to do that. I'm failing to beat my high score because I lose concentration and run into a pit, not because I can't get any further without some magic 'press button to win' item the devs have hidden behind a paywall. While the equipment here does have stat boosts I see it as more amusing bonuses for the people who're prepared to play for a long time, and I don't expect the game to just give me them after a couple of hours. And I haven't played Jetpack Joyride, but I think if you shower the player with constant unlocks that can seem just as meaningless if you're not putting any real effort in.
Unfortunately, you're right about that. Feel free to contribute to a precedent on iOS that gamers are accustomed to, i.e. paying one set price for a game. You've done a great job with this game thus far, in spite of it still needing some polish. But I feel like the direction you're contributing to is the wrong one. IAP is an approach for folks looking to make a quick money grab. Common? Yes. Trashy? Absolutely.
IOS platform is becoming a 0.99$-platform, or just free-platform. If no IAP, how can we continue to update app with more armors, more levels, more characters....(But users can update these just for free and we should paid for artist, programmers, designers). OMG
IAP Should be completely OPTIONAL in paid games. It shouldnt be required. Not saying this game requires IAP. im having a blast with this game and havent had to spend any extra.
And the IAPs are optional here. They're no more necessary than buying gold in Infinity Blade. You do not need to unlock the third character. You can obtain all the pieces of equipment by playing the game - grinding, maybe, but still, you do not need to pay anything to continue beating your high score. It doesn't remotely compare to Gameloft or Glu limiting how often you can play without forking out cash, so please, back down off the high horse a little.
Found a glitch, but cant determine what causes it. In multiplayer, there are times, when i am on the ground, pressing jump makes me fly right away. Not sure, but i think it's right after i respawn from death. I think it could be from dying while double jumping or flying and getting hit by fireballs when in the air. Kinda like jump counters arent reset on respawn. Only happens in multiplayer during respawn.
While I do wish gold came by more frequently (accomplishing missions etc), the IAP is no hindrance to be able to obtain every item in game. Having an IAP extra character is very common in these type of games and as long as it doesn't give an extra advantage over another character, I have absolutely no problem with this at all. EightRooks is completely and 100% correct in the previous post.. If you are not getting this game because of fear of IAP, you're the one missing out. Believe me, when a game forces IAP, I NEVER support or purchase a dime, but this is done completely optional and unobtrusively.
Anyway... To change the subject, I still am unclear as to what the stats are for equipment. The text is so tiny, I can't read what the stats say. I have about 6000 gold, but I don't want to spend any of it until I know what the heck I'm getting. Is there a stat that perhaps increases gold earned, 'cause I'll tell you right now, that sure would help with the grind.
Spoiler The second to the last item, the amulet, the one that gives you coins attract, definitely increases the coin gained each run. OR you can buy the Life+1 ring. Either way, I think these are the ones that give you better returns with more coin. But they arent too helpful in multiplayer. They are at 20k each. I believe the other stat that will keep you running more than usual is the Mana stat, which makes you attack more in one run, or fly more while not transformed. The other stats help with maneuverability, but will need some getting used too just when being without it.
They can improve your mana, jump, speed, dash; there are some special armors can give you extra hp, auto collect coins... If you just want to earn more gold, use can just use consumble 'gold x2'. You can select it at every match. But you need pay 200 coins each time. Font is tiny? Your device is 3gs?
Well, I think with Cave's recent announcement and all the talk in the general section, people really shouldn't be wondering about IAPs or pricing. It's no mystery by any means. Hell, it couldn't be more crystal clear if you ask me! So, I'm not going to get too much into it. However, I don't totally agree with three hours for 20k, but I've jumped on the NEG ship of "it is what it is".
