What do I win? Hehe. I've not got near the 75k again, usually hit about 30 to 40 k I think I got real lucky on that run and killing shear helped, I've only killed that boss the once, he's the hardest to beat. I just noticed that each mission takes you up a level, so I can see why having them run after each other wouldn't work.
Haha I'm sorry but we can't ship promotional stuff yet hopefully if we get higher we'll be able to, so please buy this game twice, just kidding buy three times! Yeah we're thinking about putting mission list to game too so you can check your stats. Also, have you seen in store there's something called Skip Mission. You can buy with stars just to complete some very hard mission quickly
Is there a little How To or rules summary anywhere? I don't quite get how the stars work, and there seems to be no way to repeat the tutorial. Thanks. Edit :: Also, I may have found a bug in the shop. I purchased the magnet upgrade (250 stars) and now each time I go into the shop, the cost of the next level is doubled (it's gone from 500 to 1000 to 2000 to 4000) even though I've only upgraded it the once. Edit edit :: I've been playing for about an hour now, and I still haven't beaten the score I got my very first game. By opening up new and harder symbols, and then having those symbols appear from the start in subsequent games, the game actually gets harder over time, not easier. Add to the fact that there's several symbols that I just cannot get the game to recognise reliably (the snake and the one that looks like a cursive W especially) and it makes playing really frustrating. It's a shame. I love the graphics and the concept is wonderful.
Hey Georgina! Everytime you start the game the first enemy and the first stars are for tutorial. If the enemy comes close enough, you will see the "draw the symbol" tutorial. And when it explodes then the stars rise above enough, you will see the "collect the stars" tutorial. Anyway, you should drag the stars to your character Lum. You can make chains and collect multiple stars at a time. The big stars give you time and the small ones give you money to buy stuff from the store. About the shop bug.. Yeap we saw it :/ We fixed that bug and the new update is coming soon. Until then, you can try quitting and restarting the game. Sorry for that. When you proceed through the game, new characters unlock and you start to gain more stars. So your multiplier increases. Also try to complete the missions to increase the multiplier so that you can beat your score easier We will try to add more samples to the game if it is possible so that the system can recognize more reliable. Thanks for the feedback
Intriguing, but having a hard time discerning exactly what type of game play this is. Is this by chance similar to Draw Slasher in terms of mechanics? Is this combat-based? EDIT: I am getting a Draw Slasher/Lums vibe from this, with the mechanics of the first and the visual style of the second.
Draw Slasher looks like a great game but Darklings mechanics is a bit different from it I guess. You have to draw "specific" shapes to progress through the game. As far as I saw from the gameplay videos, Draw Slasher is similar to fruit ninja. In Darklings we tried to do something that has never been done. (Maybe a little in Harry Potter games for PC) And the visual style was influced from many games like Contre Jour, Limbo etc. I hope you loved both the mechanics and the visual style
I haven't picked it up yet, simply because I can't determine what is going on. I am very interested in it though.
Monsters appear left and right with a symbol, you draw a symbol then you teleport to it's location, draw next symbol, teleport, drag the stars that the last one left behind and so on. If you "go inside" one of the monsters for too long it explodes and you get the stars. Oh, and there are power-ups and combo mechanics. That's the best I can do to describe it shortly.
You checked the leaderboards today mild mania, I got 94k today, only died because my husband stuck his face over the top of my iPad and I couldn't see, he's lucky he's still breathing haha.
You definitely deserve a medal! That's for sure! If we can sell enough to ship any collectables you'll get it first
So essentially the offense of the gameplay is to attack via teleportation inside an enemy by drawing the symbol provided? Gotcha.
That would be so cool. Are you guys in the U.S? I must have played this game for over 20 hours since buying it, I've been telling my friends to buy it but not sure if they have, I'll deff be putchasing and putting on my nephews devices when I set them up next week so once they've shown their friends hopefully they will buy too.
Nice! Well, I'm guessing we can think of something special then, send your detailed information to icontact[at]mildmania.com, please specify you're cloud puff, we'll get in contact!..
Yeah later, maybe we can prepare a gameplay demo, or reach some youtube reviewers to do it, I'm thinking that would give more feeling about the in-game itself for the people who wonder. Anyways, hope you like the game!.. Also feel free to contact us for all of your questions.
