LOL. I was just about to go for the third boss....everything ready....when I notice two of my core team key characters have a red question mark, and I can't select them. So I JUST DISCOVERED the characters sometimes go on errands/quests on THEIR OWN, and their doings are detailed in the log. GLORIOUS. I'm SO IN LOVE with the game. I do hope they will return tough, they are my fav chars
"Hey Alex, We currently have no plans to bring it to mobile phones. The work needed to redo the UI is prohibitive for our small team and our current projects. Thanks for the email and your support! Cheers, John Lindvay Community Manager Red Hook Studios" Maybe someday...
I agree with your one UI gripe about reading descriptions. The best method I've found is to long hold to read the description then click somewhere else because a long hold also selects a whole stack of something. Just an imperfect system that any PC dev may struggle with when porting to iOS but hardly a game killer. I've had more fun with this game than any game in recent history on my iPad. I can't wait to get home and play more. Don't let a little UI awkwardness ruin an otherwise amazing game.
I adore the atmosphere. The narrator is amazing. There is such a feeling of dread and despair that oddly makes the game more enjoyable to play. Even though on the surface the game is a pretty simple dungeon grinder the atmosphere makes each journey feel unique and very important. It's hard to feel like you're just grinding away when you know at any moment someone may go insane or have a heart attack in turn making other party members lose their minds.
Exactly. Maybe one day. I played a bit and the game is too hard for me. Lol But eventually I am going to get better. Or at least I hope so.
Once you upgrade your blacksmith and upgrade your weapins and armor, it gets a little easier to conquer the dungeons. Took me awhile to do that but it was worth it after my stagecoach had some new peeps coming in.
That is one of the things I am struggling with is knowing how exactly the town sections work but based of this it seems I need to upgrade my blacksmith more before he actually does anything. Is that right?
Yeah, I was in a continous loop by not being able to complete dungeons. Then I decided to upgrade my Blacksmith and increased my character's armor and weapons and started being able to actually complete dungeons and not having to flee them instead. Also in options I turned off bodies stay on the ground and unchecked able to flee every battle and it has helped me alot. Now Im finally level 3 on a core team and kicking booty lol
Posted previously that I had no sound on ipadmini2. Reinstalled, it worked....but only at first. Once again, no sound. Not having sound or issues of any kind with other apps, sound is not muted in audio options, all volumes at 100%. iOS up to date. To be sure, closed all other apps, did a hard restart and made sure I have have plenty of free space (>1gb) but still, no sound. Reinstalled again, still, no sound. Any other ipadmini2 users having issues with sound?
I'm playing this on my 6+ (see my previous posts if that confuses anyone), and I've noticed that when I am playing and then get a call, the sound is gone forever after I get a call, until I restart the game completely from home screen. Totally forgive able as I'm not playing on a supported device anyway. Anyway, this is not your sound problem but I'm just throwing my experience out there.
Playing on an air 2 and no problems with subtitles or sound. I would try deleting it and redownloading.
Small team aside, hopefully they figure out a simple way to not have the empty black space outside of the game, it is quite distracting and ends up making some things smaller than they need to be. Makes the port feel a little rushed. However, the original game using a custom C++ engine probably doesn't make things any easier to port.
Cleared a couple of rooms on my iP6 (regular, not Plus). Do not recommend it at all but it's technically possible. Everything is legible and tapable (just). My iPhone is stock and as with all other iPad games, you *don't* need to be jailbroken to force these games onto an iPhone. You just need need to modify the UI Device Family and force it on with Impactor. Your copy must be cracked in order to do this. Before the overzealous come out of the woodwork, yes I purchased the game for iPad, but you can only use a cracked copy to force it onto a stock iPhone. I did this for experimental purposes anyway, I'd definitely be sticking to my iPad copy.
Receipt because I couldn't be bothered with replying to comments calling me one-legged pirate like the other guy in this thread: http://imgur.com/a/Ua2fM
