Same... GOTY for me so far, although i havent really bought much this year my priorities shifted more towards gunpla.
Just bought myself an iPad pro 10.5inches yesterday =D After seeing this super review and checking a few gameplay vids this looks like my time of game ! Definitely buying that one tonight, thanks for all the forum feedback, without TA there I couldve missed a great opportunity !
I been wanting this for a while. Just waiting and hoping that maybe iPhone version will come. Prob will pick it up on Wednesday of nothing else of interest releases. Though honestly I don't play games on iPad
Hey, if there's one game that'll make you play on iPad, let it be this one. By your signature alone, I believe you'll love it. The thing about the iPhone, is that it'd require a major overhaul of the ui, and I'm guessing it's too late to do such a revamp. Believe me, while this could be maybe playable on the largest iPhones, it'd be near impossible on a normal sized one, which would immediately tank their App Store ratings as people would complain about the size of the Ui. This is also the perfect game for the iPad, imo, since all you need to do is tap around, which means you can be relaxing wherever with your iPad on its stand, and just enjoy the glorious experience DD provides. By the way, a tip that helped me check what those perks or abilities do, if you don't have a pen, is to swipe into them and release your finger, instead of directly tapping. This will highlight the abilities without having your finger cover them.
Enemy Effects Hi, everyone. Is there any way to see the detailed stats on what the enemy "powers" do when executed? When I'm in battle, I try to long and short press on say, "Rend the Marked," but it doesn't say what it does? Do we need to look online for these? Thanks in advance.
This game was not made for small mobile devices. Play the game properly...on a PC with a big screen, keyboard and mouse, or on a big iPsd.
No. People on line say it's there for part of the flavour of learning the game. Sure there's guides to be found online about what they do.
Man, upgrading the stage coach is probably on of the best upgrades, especially if your heroes die a lot like mine. A resolve level 1 hero in the stage coach will have level 2 equipment, 4 camping skills, AND all of their skills unlocked and at level 2. That saves you so much money in the long run. Time to shove more hapless recruits into the dungeons to earn money for my core team.
Yup. I upgraded it to 4 recruits a week, and increasing my roster count to 16 iirc, and the level to the 3rd upgrade, and i got level 3s coming in already with upgraded equips and capped out (max their level could reach) skills.
So i played about an hour yesterday, still learning the basics of the game I guess, but for those on the fence, thought id share a bit of my limited play knowledge. First of all : The screenshots dont do the artstyle justice, this game is actually quite the looker IMO, its a very unique style and very vibrant, I love it. 2 : The atmosphere, the narrator does remind me of how things were handled in Bastion, its still a rare occurence in gaming in general, feels like a fresh breeze in an rpg like this ! 3 : This game has deeps mechanics, very thought out, while this is a game you can easily play for 5 minutes, its not the type you can play with your brain-switch off, i understand why people compare it to "FTL meet Dark Souls", it definitely doesnt feel too far off. 4. The game looks quite huge, guessing theres quite a few hours of gamepkay to pour in this, if someone who played more could actually give details ? At this price seriously, if you like hardcore rewarding rpgs, give it a shot, im really digging it so far !
The more I play the better I like this. I'll admit I'm playing on radiant currently, but I wanted to learn and make some progress. Already feeling like I'll be ready for the next difficulty very soon. There's a real sense of danger and immersion tor me. I'm a huge fan of good sound in a game, so I'm sure that has slot to do with it, but gameplay is grabbing me just as strongly. A steal for the price for me.
Radiant mode isn't actually easier per se; it doesn't make the monsters squishier or the dungeons easier. It just allows you to level up your heroes quickly and cut back on your overall completion time. If you can play radiant, darkest is pretty much the same albeit a bit slower in progression.
Tried my first champion level dungeon last night and got absolutely crushed in the first battle. Wow do they step up the resistances and protections! Got complacent and ended up with a dead plague doctor before I had to run away. Time to step up my game...
Lost save game :-( I've just tried to open the game after a few days and my saved game has vanished. Has anyone else experienced this?? Is there any way to get my save back?? When I first started playing no Game Center thing popped up as the game opened and now it does, could this be the reason it's happened??
Just did 2 runs using Vestal, Antiquarian, Highwayman, Crusader, and im loving the composition simply to earn so much gold. Antiquarian's lack of strength is offset by highwayman's multiple attacks per round, thanks to riposte. Crusader is a beast here too, and he can stress heal if needed.
I thought the antiquarian was useless, but she's become one of my favorite heroes because of the sheer amount of loot she brings in. She falls off a bit in champion dungeons, but she's great at building up your fortune to upgrade your top heroes. Whenever I want to lock or remove a quirk, or upgrade a hero's weapons or armor, I just go for an antiquarian run and she make me 20k gold without even factoring in the quest rewards.
