to update on repeating dark lords:

I've repeated 4 darks lords now (I've done the first one three times and the next two twice each). Each time, I've gotten 10k gold as my prize. It could be worth it for a dark summon, as described earlier in this thread. But, I have no interest in going back to gain loot if it's just for 10k gold every time.
