Anyone else disappointed with magic? My fireballs fly all of five feet. Unless I'm right on top of the mob it falls harmlessly to the ground. Given the limited number of casts, and the long animation, im risking a beating. Not feeling very pyromancerish when I spend 99% of the time killing stuff with weapons.

    Hello all.

Finished Rage, needed something to carry me over 'till Skyrim so I picked this up.

Going in completely blind, never played Demon Souls... So I'm kind of lost.

Chose a Wanderer with Master Key build. Is this okay? I noticed I started with lower stamina/HP then most people who choose Knight and Warrior. Might be an issue?

Just got to Lordran, haven't died yet. As silly as it sounds... Monster Hunter kind of came in handy in playing this game. That game had monsters that could kill you in one or two hits, so you had to always dodge and roll and I found that those very same skills were coming in handy.

I can't get the jump attack to work well though... Left stick + RB, okay, but it doesn't work. Is it both pressed at the same time?

I have to add, I was a little hesitant about getting this game... But I really don't regret paying the 65$... Really is solid. Just wish things were explained a little better.

I think Knight is far more difficult to play than the other melee characters, because he is slow and heavy with armor. A matter of playing style perhaps, the guy relies on blocking with his shield a lot and parrying I guess. I think the wanderer is alright, and he moves quicker than the others. Wanderer should always be dodging and moving out of harm's way and then dealing one or two quick strikes whenever the opportunity presents itself.

And I agree, if you played Monster Hunter, the same attitude applies here.

Jump attack -- yes, the stick and button push to be done at the same time.

    Played today...

Beat the Taurus Monster fought up that tower and rang the bell.

Now I'm venturing into the basement of the Undead Burg.

Got the Drake Sword...And some kind of Boar Helmet... Using the wanderer set instead. Need the movement speed.

Haven't got mad or frustrated yet... Hope it continues this way!
