It depends on what you mean by "like" Dark Quest. If you mean, thematically, I'd say Hero Mages is a good one, even though it's mostly skirmish battles instead of quests. If you mean turn-based tactical like it and if you don't mind them being space-themed, "Hunters: Episode One" and "Hunters 2" are pretty much as close as you'll get to Space Hulk on your iPad, that is until Space Hulk is actually released. Space Hulk was pretty much Hero Quest, but in space. Hero Quest is the board game this game is based on. In a few weeks we'll also hopefully have Warhammer Quest, which will be pretty close to Dark Quest, only more elaborate and longer. Summoner Wars is also a good one, but once again it's a board game, 1 vs 1. Hope these help. It's all very vague to suggest, though
Rune Raiders. In Rune Raiders you hire heroes with special abilities, but Dark Quest you seem to use money to buy skills. Although besides that, they *seem* fundamentally the same. (Please correct me if I'm wrong and give me an excuse to buy this game.)
Interesting... It's the second time in this thread that someone mentions Rune Raiders, though I tried to install it and play a bit and it seems to be more of a puzzle game of sorts. Maybe I haven't played it enough. This is pretty much a board game - exploring, dice rolling and stuff.
Just try RR again, it's free now. When you have 5 heroes against hoards of monsters it will turns in to a very strategic game.
It used to be a good game but then the dev's decided to make it free with ad's, which is bull# as I paid for the game, they should have made a separate app instead of ripping off the people who paid.
Yeah it basically is a puzzle game, though a very unique one and with a good amount of strategy to it. But it's nothing like this game.
Hi, I just upgraded the game and thanks so much for the ability to disable the follow command. One further request to make this great for families and friends playing together; Would it be at all possible to have an option where treasure collected goes only to the character that picked it up? This would make for great situations when playing with friends on, should I save my friend or get the treasure! I am really pleased about the disabling following as now the characters can wander off and do their own thing. There could also be a further revision if playing with other people, the characters all start together in Mission 1. At the moment the warrior starts first and the wizard and dwarf are introduced further on in the level. Regardless, thank you for listening, and I love the game.
I love the game so far, my only problem atm is I can't figure out how to use the flail lol I click it in the inventory, it says to choose my target which I do, then any action after that is locked at the point of choosing my target. Any ideas?
With flail you can hit two adjacent to you enemies. When surrounded, select flail then tap first enemy then second.
" This door is crazy, it won't open" barbarian quote just made my day. If you're into boardgames or just curios about this one, get it now , promised you will not regret it
Just had an awesome killing streak with wizard.I had to kill 3 warbosses, but last one managed to kill both my dwarf and barbarian.I wanted to restart mission as I was left only with wizard with 2 health points. Then I had to touch famous skull of faith and he gained 1 more health point ( not that it mattered much to me at this point ) .Huge warboss went after my magician who was near tight entrance and miracle happened.Boss blocked the whole way for other enemies and as he couldn't get my wizard in distance, I fired up lightning spells for 2 turns. It was a massacre , he chained attack on 6 grouped enemies with full health and killed them all , I was like .After that cruised the whole room , picked up massive amount of gold and finished the dungeon with him like a boss . Virtual dice will be awesome so we can actually see what's happening
Cool, had the original Hero Quest board game as a kid. Love dungeon crawlers (still waiting for Sword of Fargoal 2) so I had to get it. It's great. Music, presentation. But it's hard. I mean, damn hard. Level 3 is already a bit to much for me. And since there is no option to grind earlier levels, or jump out to save the money and jump back into the current dungeon... I don't see me progressing anymore. Just so hard.
Yep, that'd be them. No, changing the game so that you play the role of a sexual predator would be the worst thing they could do. Adding virtual dice would only be appropriate for a game that has otherwise deliberately chosen all the trappings of a classic board game.
