Sorry I forgot to answer this. Basically when the game was announced in 2014, AppSpy asked if they could try out the current build and do a hand-on video. So the review is basically a review of a very short limited demo and not the full game
Try and play it on a tablet if you can with some good headphones. Trust me it's a much better experience! Small screens can be fiddly when it comes to games like this.
I am absolutely loving this. There is one scare pretty much in the beginning that forced me to hold my ipad far, far away.
Horror magazine Dread Central just interviewed me about Dark Fear. If anyone's interested in learning more about the game and how it was designed then check it out. Don't worry, I did my best to keep it spoiler-free http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/139033/interview-arif-majothi-lead-developer-dark-fear/
My husband and I are huge horror fans and check out dread central all the time so congrats to you for the exposure on there this game is incredible the rpg elements really add a whole other element of fun, it looks like a game from when I was a little kid but no game back then was this cool
Awesome little interview. Oh, and I'll definitely try it out on iPad, but for a small screen experience...it's still pretty flawless. I mean, the Spoiler porcelain doll encounter taking place right next to my face left me unnerved for a good 10 minutes.
I was gonna hold off on this until I finished a few games on my backlog, but it looks too good to wait for. Downloading it now.
I think I'll grab it as well although I just have so much to play! This was a monster week and next week looks to be big as well. From now until Christmas is going to be insane! I need more space on my iPad Air....and more cash lol!
Hmmm.... that's rather odd. One of the playtesters used an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS and it worked flawlessly for him. The point where you talk to the blacksmith is when the game autosaves for the first time and gives you access to the system menu. Perhaps something on your device is preventing it from autosaving? Or perhaps it's running out of space?
I started playing this at midnight last night. I consider myself hardcore but you got me noping out after the title screen. Damn is the sound design superbly unsettling. I'm going to play it today in the safety of light...
No hangs for me, iPad Air 2 on iOS 8. Loving it so far. It's been delightfully creepy, and the game mechanics are pretty cool. Even though I was expecting a surprise THAT scene still got me bad!
