Hi, Well, I was not watching the game, got my updates from cnn/si mobile site and it may have been slow. When I saw it was tied, I posted my guess, did not even notice how much time in the game at the time of the guess. No big deal, someone could have posted before me and would have won, just glad I did win as it looks to be a very nice game. Btw, thanks for the congrats too. David
Humor is definitely an important aspect to this game. The video sound bites were all taken from the game. Dave is a courageous, somewhat arrogant, mildly stupid, funny guy!
Hi, Mooching promo codes, not a good idea, frowned on very much by the staff here. Went through your posts here at TA and they pretty much all have to do with getting promo codes and really contributing nothing at all. This is just me but, if I was a developer, you would be one of the last people to get a code. This is just me though. David
Lol access denied! Great contest Schplurg. You should really let one drag on for a little bit just to see what peoples answers are lol
Hello TouchArcadians! It's me, Daredevil Dave! Before I begin I just have to say that if there are any ladies present, I - am - available! Unfortunatey, I have a big problem and I don't know where else to turn! Someone stole my motorcycle, and I think it was schplurg! How the heck do you pronounce that ridiculous name anyways? Whatever...he's such a swell guy...it's hard to believe he'd do such a thing, but I don't know who else it could be! I was visiting schplurg at his home...you know where that is, right? Well, I'm sure you could figure that out. I went into the bathroom for several hours to look at my handsome face in the mirror...it's so distracting, as I'm sure you all know! When I came back out, he and my bike were both gone! My bike has a GPS gizmo on it and it sent some information to my iPhone, but It's all gibberish to me! Some people say I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed - whatever that means. So I came to his computer and found you guys...as well as some other disturbing stuff I'd rather not share, especially if there are any ladies here! Some people just should not be on the internet! Anyways, here is what was sent to my phone: 85 101 152 5 58 15 Also, this photo or map thingy was sent to me as well: I need to perform at a retirement community and I need my bike! I'm offering a reward to the first person who can tell me the location of my bike...and I mean the exact location, not just the city! I've read this entire thread (except for some of the "big words") and I know you're all so smart. This seems like a very difficult task but I'm desperate!!! You can help me, right!!! I'm gonna go cry now and eat some of schplurg's food...I'll be back later. Please help me!!!
I wann it! iF this is in the US, then ill not be able to answer it as im not in US... but i'll try it out as i really wanna play this game so... i think it's in the blue thingy on the map.. GOod luck in finding your bike DAVE!! + give me a ride too ya!
Your bike is in France , near town Les Sables-d'Olonne ... Road: (Av. Alcide Cabaret / D949) Although i think your bike is somewhere in California/USA ... but the coordinates show me France!!!
I got somewhere in the ocean near Iceland. I hope i'm wrong or those retirement people aren't gonna get to see your show.
Excellent challenge, Dave. I have put both my brain cells to use and worked on this task, but I confess to coming up empty. I know Schplurg lists his location as in California. I'm guessing he wouldn't have taken your bike to far since you only spent a few hours looking at yourself in the mirror (and honestly, who doesn't spend a few hours admiring their own handsomeness every once in a while - I totally understand). However, I cannot figure out the format of that GPS message you got. I thought perhaps looking at the metadata on that picture would help me zero in on the location, but it appears to have no useful EXIF data(don't worry if you don't understand, Dave - the smart people in this thread will). I was really hoping to be a helper, Dave, but I came up empty. Maybe some of the things I've pointed out will help someone else get the location. Good luck, Dave!
I may have been in the bathroom longer than I thought last night. I was also taking care of my hair and that can be a big task. Dang, I look good, don't I? I just woke up...a motorcycle stuntman needs more sleep than most people. I think it's due to all the concussions. Well schplurg isn't back and my bike is still gone. Yes, I am in California, but I don't even remember what city it is. I'm sure if you search you could narrow down schplurg's home location a bit. It would probably help! Also, the police contacted me and said they saw someone on a bike just like mine heading south on a nearby freeway. As for the GPS, I don't think those are coordinates. I'll see what else I can find out about that. I appreciate the help!!!
Oh yeah, this may help. I went to Google yesterday with schplurg. I guess they have something called a "search engine" and I was all excited to see it. I'm into mechanical stuff like that, and I always do my own engine work on the bike. What a rip off! I never saw any engines at all! Why do they need all those buildings to run an engine anyways?! My point though is that we only drove a few miles to get there, so maybe that will help you find a starting point to tracking my bike!
I sure hope they are both together! I'll sum up what I know so far: I went on a tour of Google with the man just yesterday, so I know he lives near there. It was only a few miles away. I don't know what city this is though, my manager handles everything...I never know where I am LOL...I think he likes it that way schplurg/my bike was seen heading south on a nearby freeway. My bike's GPS doo-dad sent me this: 85 101 152 5 58 15 and this: I haven't received any info from it since so I guess he hasn't moved.
