Totally agree with you rich. (As usual!!) TA seems to avoid indie apps that are embraced by the forums. I realise there are SO many apps released, and I'm pretty sure they have a permanent backlog of apps to test and review, and I'm sure this is not intentional. I also believe an app should be reviewed on its own merits and not based on forum popularity, or we'd have too many indie devs here sucking up to us and showering us with promocodes, amazing beta-testing and friendly banter! (stop, please stop !!) But I bet Schplurg and Dave would rather have the game featured as much as possible while he's still ranked in the 20's...
Back on the note on how to get a really high medical bill.. I just practiced the first level to mess around and crash on purpose. I was going at a height of 20 and speed of 100+ I hit the ground and fall off the bike, but instead of doing a few tumbles and being done, Dave starts spazzing out and twirling around on the floor in the same spot. This lasted about 5-8 seconds and I end up with a medical bill of around 290,000. Now currently top 5
Sweet. lol Last night, I was playing around and on the shark level I set the angle at 25 and went almost 100. I rammed into the hanging scoreboard and fell straight down into the shark tank. Got my worst injury of $233,000.
That one is tricky. There is no set angle, it depends on the distance the ramp is from the castle. You can make it through either window...high or low. Aim high and don't go too fast to get through the top one. Dave gets stuck inside the ground a little bit. It's rare but is possible. Should be able to fix it, thanks! Yep that's one way to do it
So has anybody found me in the game yet? Hint: It comes pretty fast, don't blink or you'll miss it. It's actually possible plow right into me!
People have played this on an iPad - it does work. It was not designed for one though. I don't have an iPad but I'm someone here can help you out.
Go to the app's listing in the store and try to write a review. If the app store gives you the review box so you can review it, then the transaction completed successfully and you can download the game any time you want. Just buy it again after you've confirmed the transaction was successful. You'll get a message telling you that you've already purchased the game, and then it tells you to click "OK" if you want to download it again.
Like Daredevil Dave himself, I jumped...to a conclusion that has proven to be unfounded. I just realized that the throttle is activated by slowly moving in a downward direction. I had been rapidly flicking down, to no effect. So, my assertion that this game doesn't work on an iPad was wrong, and I apologize to the developer for posting too hastily.
Very good game, pleases my daredevil inside of me just wondering how does the medical bill get calculated? Doesn't really matter but I was just curious if it was random or actually matches the crash you have. Also if it hasn't been recommended yet, you should have instant replays and slow motion instant replays with all the camera angles. It might be hard but it would be cool. Also would be cool if we could watch others replays but that's thinking too far ahead and also probably not likely. Just saying though! Haha
The injuries are indeed calculated by impact force and which limb or body part is hit. The only randomness is the lava, shark attack and helo blade injuries. They fall in a random range because there was no real way to do it otherwise. Replays would be very difficult and aren't likely to happen. I'm not saying no, but...well we'll see.
I have looked through every jump, zoomed in and all around, went slow on the bike and I still can't find you. I seem to recall on my first go-round on tour mode that there was someone in one of the exit tunnels, but I could be wrong.
Here is a review just posted at AppAdvice.com http://appadvice.com/appnn/2010/05/review-daredevil-dave-motorcycle-stuntman/ It's a good thorough review - 4/5 stars. Can't complain. Lots of screenshots. I like it. I only have one point I'd like to respond to, and that's the part about wanting to be able to fast-forward through the crashes and not wait for the hospital bill. That's one of the major points of the game! When you're dealing with in-game physics like these, it's the crashing that determines the amount of damage you receive. It's a ragdoll physics game after all. If you don't like watching Dave tumble and crash, well...I don't know what to tell you. It's also what makes finally completing the jump so rewarding. I love one of the reviews someone left in iTunes...just a one liner (paraphrased): "This is one of those rare games that is as much fun win you're winning as it is when you're losing" I don't know if that's true, but I like it EDIT: Found a PROMO CODE I can give away!!! Stand by....
PROMO CODE CONTEST!!! What is the slogan for the "Used Food Outlet"? First correct response wins a code! No previous winners please, no edited posts. Good luck!
