Gratz and keep up your good work!!! This is a great game if you like Stair Dismount and/or Max Injury (I have both) I would not say much since I made a big profit buying this awesome game lol..
Ya I can relate to that, I've been there too. I will be updating the game shortly regardless, but the more successful it is the more goodies that will be added later Dave wants to add some more of his one-liners and such to the game. In fact, he was jumping off my roof last night and smacking the ground so I could record some more of his pain sounds. The dude is nuts!
yeah that's a bit disappointing..I mean having just purchased the game yesterday and it being out only a week so it's a bit surprising to see a discount already...
What about a first-person view all the way through the jump (and crash)? That would be a cool option.
Definitely won't hold the sale against you because I feel the game is worth what I paid for it... However, expect a lot of people to hold back with your next game because of this precedent you've set... It really is so soon after launch to do this... Jamie
schplurg, I'd like you to do me a favor. If you aren't familiar with it, please check out Trials HD on 360 or the PC demo of Trials, which you can get right here. I'd love to see you take your earnings from Dave and develop something akin to this for the iPhone.
I actually tried that and had some issues with the camera. I can give it another go and see if I can make it work. Understandable. A lot of devs have a sale when they get "Featured" which is the only reason I did it. Usually you get featured right after release rather than later (I guess). As a one man team, it was a calculated risk to get maximum visibility in the App Store so I can actually make that next game At least I didn't go as low as $.99 (and I won't if anyone is waiting for that). I didn't want to piss people off too much, and Dave is worth more than a buck. It was actually a difficult decision for me.

I would love to have a video of gameplay but my cameras can't do it. I've seen some good looking video here at TA but I have no idea who does them. Can anybody here help me out? Or know of a Youtube iPhone game reviewer at least? The video in that Appspy review looks bad and the scenes shown aren't very exciting at all. I'd like to have something better online.
It's not a move I'm sure any dev wants to do, dropping the selling price of their hard work. In the broad-ranging sense look at the benefit to us the game players. The dev in these price drop situations are only doing the smart thing. schplurg will probably sell twice as many copies and make some decent profit; in turn giving us decent updates & future games. I consider it a good thing for all of us. Besides, schplurg is just your everyday TA member-turned indie dev, and I support him actually competing and doing well in the mix with the likes of EA and Gameloft.
The initial push was good, but the dollar-off shove sent me tumbling over the edge. Purchased and syncing! Hope the sale sends the game screaming up the charts!
This is one of those few games were I consciously bought before a price-drop. Deserved every penny. 39 all paid apps, 21 in games!?!!

Glad to pick this up today. I'm having quite a bit of fun. Even when I don't make the landings I'm amused The helicopter blades... umm... wow! hehe. I learned after the first few attempts that it was a good idea for me to practice the jumps first. I only wish you could access practice mode each jump from within the tour mode so you didn't have to back all the way out. Congrats on being featured and climbing up the ranks! Cheers!
