That sound like a great idea acually and a video would be really cool because there hasn't been a video in a long time
Goofing around with the motocross idea has just delayed release by a few more days, BUT, it's totally cool so it will definitely be in the game I will include "recorded" races that the player needs to beat in order to win the level, so you'll be racing against me Programming a racing A.I. is definitely beyond the scope of this game, so pre-recorded races is the best I can do. Either that or I would simply have preset times to beat, which this essentially is, except you get to see the actual bike on the track and race with it. Also, players can record their own races and race against themselves - like a ghost bike. I'll make a video of this when I can.
It is possible, but I have nothing built into the game right now to do it automatically. In other words, your friend could extract the necessary file from their phone by using a program like "iExplorer", send it to you (a small file), then you could copy it over to your own device. I'll check and see how difficult it would be to implement this into the game so you don't need to do that. It's actually not a matter of difficulty but how much time it would take me to do it. It's definitely something I've thought about already. But at least it is possible as it is now.
Ya the sharing part will stay as it is (cumbersome but doable). So race number 1 is against me (a race I "record"). Race number 2 is against a faster me, except Dave's manager is on her bike. I thought I'd give her a spot in the game Race #3 - your winning race in race #2 is recorded and you have to beat your own time. You can share the file "easily", I will have instructions for those who wish to do it. It's just a small text file with the race data in it. Below: I don't have time to design a racing outfit for her so the skirt will have to do, for now.
Ya that's one thing I'm a little concerned about. That's just my idea for now. You could always replay level 2 and barely win
New Video! Motocross! There are a few "glitches" seen in the video, but the motocross part of the game is essentially complete, and will make it into the initial release of Dave 2!!! There are 4 bikes in this race, and it runs very smooth, but I may have to eliminate one of them because the level load time is really long...like 30 seconds. The female racer (Dave's manager) has a skirt on because that is the only model I designed for her. I will probably just leave it that way, but that doesn't mean I condone riding a motorcycle wearing a skirt! Remember, this motocross thing is just one of MANY different experiences offered in this game, such as movie stunts, motorcycle golf, bowling and skeeball, jumping over cars, helicopters, killing zombie-clowns, blowing things up, and on and on...! Pretty #@$%&'n close. Doing one more round of testing starting in a few days. Gonna use TestFlight this time Solved the problem with load times and the number of bikes on the track. It was taking a full 30 seconds to load the three opponent bikes, but I got it down to almost instantaneous! Fixing other stuff now.
Sent you an email for testflight whenever you get that going and also can you change the color of your bike? Do you think the game might be out by the 28th?

Actually the only thing keeping me from starting the testflight thing is deciding on a final name for the game! Seems lame, but it's an important thing. I would simply go with "Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman 2" but I'm afraid the "2" will get truncated and people in the app store will just see "Daredevil Dave: Motor....." and not know it's the new game. Thinking of Daredevil Dave 2: something something, and I have a list of possibilties, but I need to pick one. It's too important to rush though. Some ideas: Daredevil Dave 2: Motorcycle Madman Daredevil Dave 2: Motorcycle Extreme Daredevil Dave 2: Motorcycle Mayhem Daredevil Dave 2: Total Mayhem Daredevil Dave 2: Total Chaos Daredevil Dave 2: Total Destruction Daredevil Dave 2: Total Carnage Daredevil Dave 2: Bikes And Blood, haha no... I like motorcycle mayhem personally and it was a private message that I sent but I will try sending to the other email if you didn't get it.
Ah, yes I got it. Oh and I like "Mayhem" too Because the Casino location needed a 6th stunt...Pachinko! Seriously fun, with rotating paddles that knock you around the board, plus two cannons in the bottom corners to shoot you back up into play. This level is totally addicting and hilarious to play! It compares with "House Of Pain" from the first game, but better. Motocross Racers. There are only two models - Dave with a few different skins, and his Manager. I seriously don't have time to do more character models. You get to race (as Dave) against the other 3. The Police Dave is also in the "Movie Stunts" levels since you are playing a cop in the movie "Uzi-Cop 2" (and yes, you have an Uzi).
So we're in the middle of a big round of testing, trying to get things finished! The game will have 3 complete Tours, with a total of 65 total stunts. I'd like some more testers. I won't pick everyone - I need people who really want to help improve the game. Send me a PM if you're interested and convince me of your awesomeness!
