Hmmm... Anyone else having issues with the movement ratio resetting? ... And I am LOVING THIS GAME!!!! =oD
Sorry it took me a while to get back to you I will answer as much as I can of this I consider this more of a bullet hell game myself Yes it's 5 stages but they aren't super short and also there is a lot of difficulty settings so while 5 stages sounds like crappy content I assure you it's not that bad at all and I'm sure they could add more later but for now it's more than enough as its not easy You can upgrade to diff ships and diff weapons too If you like bullet hell games you will like it but it sounds like you didn't like part 2 of this game but I will say this one is much better than 1 or 2 for sure I love the music it's one of the things I like about it In games like this one music is generally repeating but I haven't even noticed with this one My favorite Bullet hell game soundtrack is Operation Dracula it's not quite to that level but good The graphics are so good too
Dailon, thank you for the reply! The thing is, i think the bullet patterns - and especially in the trailer of DU3 - are gorgeous! But at the same time -i realised this after replaying the demo of 2) i don't like the gameplay of avoiding bullets, i want to shoot down ships more like the non-bullethell shmups. I think i will hold off on this, but express my wish if Sunny Tam reads this, for a Skyforce-like shmup from him with these beautiful graphics!
there are some bonus stages forgot to mention that I know what you mean first time I played a game in the Danmaku series I didn't care for it and then one day i was bored replayed it again and have loved the series since and that was part 2 Have you played the Ray series from Taito that may be more in line for you, Raycrisis is out now and so now the whole trilogy is on the app store... I have Rayforce and love it still need to get Raycrisis and Raystorm but plan on it soon
then maybe bullet hell fever will hit me one day too dont like the graphics of Ray or the Cave games (dont judge me lol )
the Ray games are remakes of classics so I can see that i remember them back in the day so its nostalgic Cave Games has not updated any games from 32 bit and its a shame as far as i know cave games has checked out on the app store i love the graphics on the cave games though but they could use some polish I am now to the point bullet hell is more fun to me I like dodging all the incoming bullets and patterns ha
I changed the screen size and noticed it didn't save. So, I set up everything the way I wanted it again through in-game pause menu and then I went back to the options screen from the main menu (not the in game pause menu) and clicked save there and that seemed to save everything for me. Give that a try. So far I am liking this although I have only had a few minutes with it and only tried the easy mode. Need to get some time on the weekend to sit down with this! I like how you can keep the graze combo going by grazing the 'spirit' bullets.
Hmm... I can get it to save the screen size, but not the movement ratio... It actually bumped it up, instead of going back to 1.6, it went from 1.4 (where I had it when I saved in the options menu) to 1.8 when I started another game. Meh, not a big deal.
I'll check the ratio next time I get chance to play and see if get the same behaviour. Edit: yup I just gave it a try, mine resets to 2.0 every time. Everything else seems to save, just not the movement ratio.
The game is a battery killer on ipad pro 12" 1 game = 10% battery used Quality = best Resolution = native
Really bad at this now. LOOOL. Phoenix 2 spoiled me with the slower yet more constricting bullet curtains. Im really glad DU3 is different from Phoenix 2 in that regard, so that i can keep playing both of them.
