I suggest changing the flamer to the pyro I also think he'd look better with a gas mask And I have a class suggestion also, you need a heavy weapons guy with a big machine gun
Wow looks great ! And to know it will be an online game is just wicked !! Can't wait to read just what will be in this game upon first release . Would also love to hear just how the developers invasion this game as far as objectives , unit types , terrain effect , and so on . Now as an old quake fan I got to say , would not a map editor option be wickedly cool !
Yah, but the game looks similar to a certain game, and any army needs a heavy, and the pyro just looks wrong without the gas mask And the game is just so close the TF2 it's not even funny Edit: Make that 2 classes, a heavy weapons guy and an assassin of some sort
Lost Company is a Red vs Blue game with Army themes.. It's not surprising that there's some overlap in the teams. We'll definitely consider the additional units, but we're feeling pretty happy about the squad layout as it stands. Each unit gets an upgrade path so the rifleman gets the machine gun eventually and with all the upgrades taken into account I think we've covered most of our bases.
Yeah having too many units just creates redundancies and balance issues I think your line up looks pretty solid.
Thanks! We're compiling a dedicated site for LC that will describe the gameplay and units so you'll be able to get the official word there when it's done. But to give a bit of an appetiser.. Single player will be via the tutorial levels to learn how to use new units etc and via skirmish matches against the AI. The most fun will be had with the multi player parts though, with a bunch of different levels where you can challenge your friends. Each level will have different terrain to make you really think about your tactics. Cliff high grounds, half cover bunkers, water zones, bridges for choke points, etc etc. You'll choose a team of 5 units with a mandatory "Leader" unit and you'll pick 3 perks for your team. The units vary in their weapon range, weapon damage, health, movement points and melee damage just to name a few. There will be more info about each unit soon after we ensure they're balanced Playing online games will gain you XP to go towards new ranks, and doing well will get you commendations which will increase your XP even more. There are also some achievements that'll get you to the next rank sooner. When you gain new ranks you'll unlock new units, new weapons and new perks. With all the different options you'll be able to seriously customise your squad to suit your favoured tactics. Then you'll choose a game mode that will change the objectives of the game and the battle is on! Each side will take a turn until the game is over. The server side stores all the moves so you can start a game on your iPhone and finish it later on your iPad or Mac or vice versa. As for a level editor, it's not out of the question but it's a bit out of the scope for this first release. Level building is a bit technical at the moment but if you're really interested then let us know and we'll make sure it's a priority!
TOMEStudios! The character design not only reminds me of TF2, but also the animation sequence in Kick-ass which is a Good sign
How do you sign up for the online servers. I'm really interested in the beta. Just one question though. When you are fighting someone online, would there skill level or rank be yours? The reason I ask is because everyone and I would like great matchmaking.
i just saw this game on the main page and thought id head over here to express my excitement. this game looks really awesome. i could see this being one of my main apps. i am definitely getting this the day it comes out (and signing up beforehand to get a bonus)!
