Cool. You're in a bind then, any comments you make here going forward still bump this game up on the activity list so.....
I also think there should be an option to remove the merchant. I stopped playing the game because of him, but since I bought the ducks I intend to play it more but he completely ruins the experience. And I would also like to know protection against sleep and confuse?
I just hate the merchant!! I keep hitting him accidentaly and then he kills me. The whip, the naginata and the special attack from the holy sword hits him without my intention. We have to find a way to kill him! Unfortunately it seems impossible. His attacks are too strong. I can deal some damage to him but he kills me too fast. I also now know that you can't opt out of having him appear. Whatever you answer when he first visits Yamada, he still implements the merchant into the game. I doubt the dev reads this forum but we REALLY need him removed from the game. At the very least we need him not attacking unless you enter the store. I love this game and have no other complaints, thoroughly anjoyable, except for this, it makes me not want to play..
I forgot to mention that you can also use spells to get at least one hit off on them. Slimes absorb poison and lightning though. Another option is to use high accuracy items such as the bug spray, Rat Bag, and Boomerang. Bug spray is the cheapest out of them.
The merchant only shows up occasionally and after you have already beat the level. Trace a path that avoids him. You don't have to "perfect" every floor. I think he's great --- excellent prices for good upgrade items. But I do wish he could be killed for high experience points! For those that did not opt for him as merchant, what form does he take in the dungeons?
There is a shield that provides immunity to poison once upgraded and leveled up. Forgot the original form, but once upgraded it looks like a leaf. Not sure about sleep resistance. I would love resistance to that or confusion!
Immune to: Poison Sleep Confuse ALWAYS Knock-back Chance to shoot a projectile dealing 35 unmitigated damage
Not sure if my game is bugged but I seem to be stuck Spoiler I passed Queen's Castle and Yamada's Woods, yet no new dungeons are showing up. And the schedule says to get to level 13 and defeat Yamada the Wanderer one more time Yet i'm level 14 and have finished the dungeon three times already Any ideas?
Not sure if it's a bug or if you have to play the levels again. I recall that there are times where Yamada adds new things to the most recent level after you've beaten it -- and you have to play it again before he creates a new level.
