Tried it, hated it. You cant even play the game, your fingers get soooo in the way. This app was made for the losers who obsess over it in real life
That's an overstatement, the game is very playable. I'm not a big fan of DDR, but I think they captured the playing style of the game very well. It plays exactly like Flash Flash Revolution

Letter grade being on the top is a little odd, am wondering why they didn't place it in that big open area to the left of the combo count.

Well you have to give them a chance, due to the fact that Konami has JUST started looking into the IPhone as a gaming device, and have not yet seen it as their main target for games.
I just played it, it's great! The controls feel natural, and the game has a very similar look and feel to the console and arcade versions. I was already excited about the full version, and I'm definitely going to buy it now.

All I'll say is that it's fine. Hopefully they're releasing this for feedback before full version. Maybe create multiple controls.
