Awesome! Let me know what you think - if you have any feedback I would love to hear it. We're about to start the first content update, which will heavily draw from the great feedback everyone here has provided. Also, thanks Jay
Hey there! We're certainly thinking about it. If we release a free version we'll make sure to post it here
This looks really nice! I love the graphics, and the ship seems to be very nimble in its movement! Also, it appears there's more to do than just a one-dimensional type game! I'm gonna jump in too! Looks like a winner to me! #
?'z ^ witcha JamesTheMage & Panic Vault Team? I need a sound alert 4 Shmupz & Bullet Heavens. I get a late pass on your update tho i know i'm bout ♊️ have some major fun
This game is great. It also has a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not sure if the clerks at Dale's are supposed to be different guys or if Dale is a shape shifter. Haha The the art design is great too. It's very charming and whimsical. And the whole situation is reminds me of a Butterscotch game. I mean, delivering pizzas in your space ship so you can make repairs to get back to where you came from and all along the way meeting wacky characters with silly agendas. It's good stuff for sure.
Thank you so much! I really hope you enjoy it It's certainly supposed to be nimble, towards the end of the game things get pretty hectic, so you'll come to appreciate the speed. Hey 7lilwhitewolf7! I really hope the update helps - if not we'll just have to keep pumping them out I'm so glad to hear you say that! We absolutely wanted to hit that mark. It took so many iterations to get the game feeling this way, so it's a huge relief to hear that people are getting the whimsical vibe. As for the clerks, they all work for Nate, which is the one with the Nate hat. ... or perhaps you're on to something, actually ...
Haha, yeah I noticed the hat ,but the way the guys switched out, you leave on a mission or go to the upgrades and when you come back it a different guy, I thought that maybe something weird might be happening off screen. Haha
Been really enjoying this one. Anyone know how to tell what the specific goals are for each level? I remember seeing it once or twice but not when I replay a level.. Game Center would be an awesome addition Definitely love the upgrading and general gameplay.
This is a steal for .99. I am really liking it. The only thing that bums me out is that none of the items stack. For instance, I bought all the coin magnet upgrades and then purchased the auto turret only to find out you can't equip them both. Also- there is no real point in going back to a past level to farm coins as you get way more just continuing on. Maybe it changes later on though- I am only on area 3. I would have loved to farm bosses for coins. Other than that- Great game!!
Is there an MFi controller support? I love space shooters, but side scrollers with touch controls make my arm hurt.
That's the one thing that curbed my enthusiasm also... I'd fully upgraded the coin magnet and started saving for the next upgrade only to find I could only have one or the other equipped. That realisation stopped my game cold unfortunately. Why? Basically because coin collection efficiency meant that the magnet wasn't ever going to come off my ship... and I preferred the rockets over invincibility. Which suddenly made all the other 'carrot on a stick' upgrades I was chasing become obsolete. I really wished you could equip them all together. Otherwise, very fun game, was having a blast up until that point. Was having flashbacks of Space Miner, one of my fave iOS duel stick shooters of all time.
You explained it way better than I did SoA. Just loses the carrot. I think I will check out Space Miner. Thanks for mentioning it. Looks neat. Edit: Hmm I did buy space miner but it must have been an old version so I had to purchase it again. Oh well
Interesting, seems we did a little too much assumption there and should have made a hard indication that you only have one item per slot at any given time. If you look closely at the ship you'll notice the items have a specific slot on the ship per item type, but we never did actually say it before hand so I can see how it wouldn't be clear. So sorry about this, I know it takes a good bit of time to get all of the upgrades so I'm sure this was a letdown - and the game's ending is the best part! If it helps, after you clear the first environment there's a decent payout that was put in place so you can give other items a shot in the event that you've been focusing on upgrades and haven't had a chance to pick up new items yet. PS: So glad to hear the kind words from both of you though, I'm glad you enjoyed the parts you did play! There isn't - we didn't even know about this! I'll certainly do some research and see what we can dig up, if it makes it in a future release I'll be sure to let you know.
SALE ALERT! Hey all! If you're just seeing this thread, the game is now free for a couple of weeks! Head on over to iTunes or the Play Store and get a copy in your library before the promo is over as it isn't going on for too long.
