Hmm I don't know why the beta would expire oO We didn't put any "date of stopping this beta" in it. @Blown454 - there is nothing to blame Chillingo - they do their Job and if I look back at our last game Pirates Treasure - they used all the promocodes for promotion. BUT after the first update (maybe 1-2 weeks later) we got 20 promocodes for the beta testers.
hmmmm In the screenshots I see that little tab at the bottom with 'wave x/x'? Is this basically a twin stick shooter with waves of enemies? I was hoping it would be levels with some exploration. I may wait and see what the reviews say. I liked Revolt, but grew tired of it and the bad frame rate didn't exactly help me enjoy it. This looks good graphically, but the animations are a bit unpolished - the rolling mechanic seems goofy somehow. I hope it gets great reviews, for now I am not sold on it just yet.
Reality is .... I removed the profile some time ago when my iPad crashed .... S the build does not work any longer! Btw chilling does controls the promos. I know ... I tested lots and lots by now. For many devs working for them. It is easier to get iTunes cards from chilling than a promo!
I'm not blaming anything on Chillingo, just saying that the last beta I tested (that was marketed by Chillingo, huge game btw) we were given the excuse of no promo codes due to Chillingo not giving them up. The game I am referring to was released a couple months ago, I helped test for over a year, and there were only a handful of trusted beta testers as it was hush hush to an extent. Maybe I got some bad info from the dev, but I just checked my email to verify that the excuse given was "Chillingo wouldn't give him more than 5 promo codes, so we were outta luck." Felt kinda cheap if ya know what I mean! I gifted the game to my brother (he wanted it because his kids loved it while over my place for vacation), but I never bought for myself because it left a bad taste on my end... FPE- If you removed the profile, it would have to be reinstalled to work again, I'm sure you know this.
If i had the files. Yes. I had a severe iPad/iTunes crash, actually three in a week, and i lost many things and all that was not purchased, like beta, was lost. I lost mire than one game that week. Gosh, all I had imagined that my silly line would generate so much ado for nothing (to quote Shakespeare).
Yup, no worries though. It's not going to stop me from picking up DARK. A good week for the App Store is like $10+ for me (compared to consoles which could've been $100+), so it means I get to eat one less sandwich. =/
Sorry if missed anything, but is there an Ipad version on the way or universal? U got the retina display so universal (even with only retina res?) would be awesome, and u would´nt cash in on the ppl that wants to play it on their ipads.
Same for me. It is available in my App Store, but upon trying to purchase it, I am told it is being modified and is therefore unavailable.
Has anyone been able to actually purchase D.A.R.K. yet, or are you all receiving the same "being modified. Please try again later" message as we among the Ye Olde Norse get?
