The only reason Angry Birds: Halloween did as well as it did was because the original has had so much free content that people were willing to spend an extra buck to support the devs. Cut The Rope has barely been out a month and has had no new content... I'm betting it won't do well IF it actually happens
How do u get the Bubble Popper award, i know you have to pop 50 bubbles but i thing i have done more than that and it didnt give me it
I'll take that bet. Angry Birds: HW did well because Angry Birds is a great game, and a large number of the people who purchased it were happy to pay another 99 cents to get 45 more levels. Cut the Rope: Xmas will likely cause the same reaction from people. Or do you really think all those people who loved the first game are going to balk at spending 99 cents for more of the same?
Guys, don't be so scared... The game is new, I am sure we will have our new levels in the time to come. Just give the team some time. And the current levels are enough to keep me satisfied, I didn't manage to 3 start them all, because on some levels I need a lot of time to understand the real solution behind them.
I don't agree... if they are really working on a separate game this means they are using their ressources for the new game - and its doubtful, there will be a nice content update for the original game. This would be quite frustrating, since the original part had quite few levels... I played through the game with 3 stars on every level in two afternoons...
yep, the original CTR was not that challenging except 5 levels or so. I REALLY hope they will do a free update with content instead of doing a new app and charge again. Angry birds - as already stated - did huge amount of content free upgrades before they threw a new app for purchase out there. I hope they will do it this way also... my coming-soon-box is waiting
So you paid 99 cents for two afternoon's worth of entertainment. That's pretty good. If you have to pay another 99 cents for more levels, perhaps you should just count yourself lucky that so much entertainment is coming your way, rather then complain about having to shell out a whole new dollar.
Or I can just look elsewhere for a company who keeps the updates coming and tries to improve the value of the product after the sales (see: Angry Birds/Rovio). I am not saying that it wasnt worth the money I paid because it was short. But I will not support the company by buying an update when at first they did announce, that they would go on releasing additional levels for free.
it is and was worth the money. one ball of straciatella icecream is about 80 cent in Germany and this is almost 8 minutes fun, then its gone anyways, they said on the box "COMING SOON" so where're the additional levels? (btw, I will be first in line to buy the new game )
Mlkaufman is right, 99 cents is totally worth it for this game, and believe me SwissHiFi, not everyone is that good at games as you probably are. If they add up new levels for a price I will buy them, if they give them for free, I will be happy to play them. And if they started working on a new game and won't do some more level design on CTR, I don't mind, there are many other games to play, and many other new companies that will throw out new games.
While I admire your strong principals, I bet most people who love the first game will bite the bullet and shell out the extra buck for the second one. I know I will.
I have a problem with achievements in this game I had 14 achivments on the game when I was on 4.0 but when I upgraded to 4.1 none of them were synced to gamecenter ! Is there a way to fix this ?
