This is perhaps the cutest and most fun physics game ever developed for the iDevice. It is very casual, and requires only a few minutes at a time, however does require some thinking and planning. Unlike Angry Birds, a hollow trial-and-error process for simpletons that attempts to catch attention with its funny and cute theme but with no actual challenge, creativity, and value, and completely undeserving of its fame, Cut The Rope deserves its #1 rank for sales and can be considered the next Enigma or iBlast Moki.
No doubt about this! Cut the Rope is one the best game ever created for iphone. But i'm just thinking because it is not brainless enough, it might not stay too long in #1... Well... the iphone is a casual device to start off with, so repeated trial and error is part of releasing stress for the heavy minds.
To be fair, he's not entirely wrong. Much of Angry Birds is a lot of trial and error. There's some strategy involved in picking what targets to go for based on what bird is up next in the sling, but even then it's a whole lot of trial and error -- more of that than actual strategizing. CtR on the other hand is almost entirely about planning with some fast action thrown in periodically for good measure.
I agree. To be fair, I love both of them. When I am ready to take on challenges-> Cut the Rope Want fast fun and lucky outcomes -> Angry Birds Both are still the best games on the iphone!

Aw DIDDUMS. Show us on the doll where the harmlessly entertaining casual game Angry Birds touched you? I love Angry Birds. It has a nice mix of skill and luck. i tried Cut The Rope and found it frustrating. I don't want to be mentally challenged to the point of total frustration by my casual dip-in-dip-out mobile games. However i don't feel the need to get angry about other human beings who enjoy games that i personally don't. Angry Birds is highly deserving of its fame. Cut The Rope may well earn similar fame. I wont be back here to bitch about it if they do
You tell 'em Reverend. Spread the Truth and make the people see the Light. I do think this thread...heck, this entire board is too small for your message of Truth. I think you should log off the computer, climb out of your parent's basement and get out into the real world so you can continue to spread your message of Anti-Angry Birds. It will be our loss, but the world's gain. Don't even take the time to post and say goodbye. Your mission is too important. Good luck and god speed.
So I finally got my last achievement and it shows up in crystal but not game center. Anyone else have a similar problem?
I'm amazed that this game has a million downloads and yet only has around 300 posts here.. Oh well, I'm extremely glad I picked this one up. I was a late adopter of Angry Birds and have found a genre I really enjoy. I am stuck on ONE last puzzle! I can't seem to get 3 stars in level 21 of the cardboard box (embarrassing I know...). Can anyone help out? Cheers
Probably because as good as the game is, there's not much to it. I can't remember level 21, but if it's the one everyone gets stuck on: cut the lower left rope until you get the first star, cut the lower right rope until the bubble is directly above the last two stars, cut both the remaining ropes at the same time then pop the bubble. It should fall with enough force to collect both the remaining stars.
Cut the Rope If you guys need help with the hardest levels check out my channel. Rate & Comment Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/user/IVIaiko
It's actually only trial and error when you're a simpleton. Not to mention the same rule more or less applies to both Enigmo and iBlast Moki.
