As far as I know, and I'm in the 4th World, the IAPs are not necessary if you're patient. Every day you will get the chance to obtain a new powerup, but it's not technically your choice. You pick one of four butterflies and whichever one you pick is holding a random item.

I want to say the items are random. Like for my item pick today, I could have received 10 balloons, 1 balloon, the lightning swipe, or one other thing.

Yes, the worlds are all unlocked as normal if you get the required stars (unless there's a world I don't know about that doesn't require it). Every world does have a set of 5 levels that can only be unlocked by getting presumably all the clovers in that respective world, so powerups will be necessary for that, but I feel like the number of levels before those 5 clover ones in each world is equal to how many levels you would normally play in the other Cut the Rope games.

    Hope this helps

Hey, guys! I'm planning to buy Cut the rope 2, but i've heard that it consumes about 400mb of space on device o_O. Is that true, i mean, i remember someone was talking about that on first pages of thread, but, what about patches? Wasn't that fixed yet? I really love this series, but i'm pretty bad on free space :(
    Thanks!

I've 3 starred the first area including the four extra levels, including all challenges. I did use up all of my powers to grab those clovers, though!

Lovely game, with lots of new gameplay mechanics introduced in the first world alone. Definitely recommended if you enjoyed the other CTR games.

are people really getting one powerup screen per day or per world? I only ever got one when I finished world 1 and started world 2, never at any other time (bought the game the day it came out, so it's definitely more than 1 day ago!)

Not having any balloons to get the clovers and unlock the last five levels is messing with the perfectionist in me  dammit.

The random power-up screen will appear once a day at a fixed time. If you want to know when it happens, just allow push notifications. The game will warn you when it's availble every day. After the first time, you know when it will be next, so you can either disable the notification or leave it be just in case you forget...

I didn't allow cut the rope to give push notifications (I usually disable them for everything) so if you don't turn on the ipad at that specific time of the day you don't get it? that's annoying. I can see how it wouldn't matter too much on the iphone version since likely you have it with you all the time, but I don't walk around with my ipad all day!

You don't need to allow push notifications. As soon as you enter the game you will see the screen. The push notifications only alert you that it's time to receive a new gift.

yeah, but from what you are saying it seems that if you don't enter the game at the right time you don't get the gift at all, I know since day 1 I have gotten the gift screen only ever once despite playing every day once or twice a day

  15. Is it only at certain times, not by day?

You're misunderstanding them completely. The way the daily rewards work is that they appear at a certain time. I think it's around noon in Mountain Time, but I could be wrong.

But no matter if you turn it on right at noon, or many hours later, you will be able to get the daily reward.

    # i have the game installed on my iPad and iPhone , today I received a notification on my iPad and in my iPhone and I was able to redeem my daily award on both devices so I got two balloons instead of one

You are getting it completely wrong. A new gift will appear at a determined time, and it will wait until you get it.
If you don't get it, you won't lose it. Unless it's already time for a new one. You can get one every 24 hours.

I might get it completely wrong, but as of now I've had the game since it came out on wednesday night, played it every day, and got ONE gift the first time I played it after opening world 2: if it really was every day or if it waited for me to pick it up, shouldn't I have gotten at least 3 by now? (thu/fri/sat, today should be 4)

I am not sure why some people here are getting gifts every day unless it's somehow related to timing or device or ios version

So a couple updates on my end.

I found that World 2 - Level 13 has a clover that you can obtain without a powerup. It took a few million tries, but I finally got it.
You tap the Blues until a certain point to swing the candy towards the clover... but not so much that you fly over the bump next to Lick.

It's incredibly precise, too, because you also have to make sure you catch a train of Blues that will elevate from that bump all the way down to Om Nom, since going down Lick's path will only get you to the side of Om Nom's rock.

It took a long time, but I finally got it. No powerups, and that clover is free! :D

Aaaaaand I don't usually brag about things (generally because I never have anything to brag about), but I took this screencap... Top 100 at the time of the screencap! :D
