I've been on the fence on this one for a day or so. It looks great, but the "21 levels" makes me think that it's fairly short. I'm hoping I'm wrong.
Get used to it. IAPs are here to stay. As long as they are making money off them, we are going to keep seeing them. Lol, you learn to pick your battles.
It plays wonderfully everyone. As a big TD fan and a KR fan at the moment I'd say this is the best TD game not named Kingdom Rush. It's easy to pick up and really fun. I do feel there's a bit lack of variety on towers but the huge variety of enemies and enemy skills actually mix the game up quite a bit. I am also worried it will be short but i hope with some success they can keep this going like KR does.
There are 21 levels, only 1 diffuclty and 2 modes (normal/day and night mode). While it may seem short, there is a bit of grinding needed to level up and upgrade. I find myself completing levels (not perfect or three stars) then go back when my upgrades are better. If you enjoy Demons vs Fairyland, this game is a must have IMO (for a TD nut).
Other than Anomaly Defense, may I know the other TD games that are out this week please? Thanks! Kingdom Rush and Frontiers have endless mode. It is pretty hard. Only 1 map for each game only though.
"Infinity89 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space." LOL, guess I don't hold a chance... love the graphics, but I wasn't a typical TD fan, a bit hesitate here.
^ You should get it. I really really like it. It's well worth the money. You can play test it on Armor Games as well. Btw, I think someone else PM'd Infinity before you on the last page.
I just bought the first and is a simple but very good TD game. When I end that one I will go for this 2nd for sure
The dev was kind enough to give me a code for the game, so I've been playing a little since yesterday.. As someone who's played my fair share of TD games, I'd say this is definitely a nice addition. Similar to Demons vs Fairyland, so if you liked that one I'd say chances are you're gonna enjoy this too. Can't really comment of the length as I've not played enough of the game yet, but I'm definitely enjoying it, so I hope it's not too short.
Thanks, but Cursed Treasure 2 is not a Kingdom Rush clone. Cursed Treasure (the first one that was a browser game) was created long before KR and in fact, KR copied some gameplay elements from it
The game doesn't force IAPs - you can play the whole game through without even using the Grand Spells. Tested multiple times %) But even if you wish to use them, you will be able to collect enough skulls for during the game to be able to launch even the Gem Return spell several times. Just give it a second try
Please note that each level is longer than the previous one, so you will complete the first few levels pretty fast, but then it will take longer and longer.
In that case I'll call it kingdom rush-like, wich is def a good thing. I may even be enjoying it as much or more. The iap are totally optional, can be ignored easily. Iv yet to use any skulls and have replayed difficult missions a few times. As always, there's the right balance of tower quantity vs when to upgrade wich determines how hard the mission is. Finding the optimal places to lay towers and creating enough space to make more is part of it as well. One of my fav parts is each little section has it's own theme and new gameplay obstacle or interactive buildings. It really keeps it fresh and avoids the feeling if the same level over again.
Just bought it for $0.99! I played the bejesus out of these when they were browser based. Hours and hours of fun.
Wow, that was a fast sale. Though I'm not complaining, I just bought it for 99cents as well. I was simply surprised by the quick sale. Would have already bought it at full price if Anomaly Defenders didn't come out this week as well. By the way, Cursed Treasure HD is on sale as well (usually $3, now $1 as well). I haven't tried the original, so I have no idea if it's worth a purchase, but figured it was worth a mention.
Really? It went on sale already? I have given up complaining already. Bottom line, I was able to play it earlier and I am enjoying the game anyway. I just hope more people buy it to support the Devs and possibly add more maps and stuff. I don't know how I missed the first one, thanks for the info. Its 3 years old already but I'll still grab it.
I completely agree with that attitude: if a game was worth the price to you at the time of purchase, and if it's a quality game, having paid full price is a fair deal and can only serve to further support the developers. I've given up complaining about the quick price drop practice as well, and instead have adjusted my purchase philosophy. And if I buy a game at full price, I have to fully accept the fact that there will be a sale at some point. It is after all, an App Store axiom: There will be sales.
