Ended up picking them both up.
    Haven't tried Red Conquest Yet.
The Settlers is very similar to the DS version, but still fun.
It annoys me how the people don't move if they don't have a job, no idle animations....
    It makes the game look...paused?

I can't understand how you people can bear to ever call the settlers a rts. I've always been a gameloft fanboi and all, but...just no.

Why is the Settlers an RTS? In the game make strategic actions in a real time environment, you gather resources, build building, MANAGE ECONOMY, build an army, supply your army, upgrade your army and obliterate your enemy! Now why can't you call it an RTS?

Idk, it's just nothing like the generic, hardcore rts found on pc's for
me. But it's just my opinion so it doesn't really matter.

It is deeper and a lot more strategic than most generic rts on the pc, but it's every bit as hardcore. A lot of newbie RTS players are intimated with the amount of Economy management involved in the game since it's not just gather ore, gas and build barracks sort of thing it actually goes much deeper than that. You have to think like an actual city engineer or mayor or your civilization will be obliterated. Actually the Settlers find it's niche as a PC title :D

I've played them all APART from red Conquest..I'm half afraid to admit it but Robocalypse is the one I've enjoyed the most. I wouldn't want to argue that its 'the best' from any deep comparison of technical merit, graphics, required strategy etc, but simply based on fun factor it wins hands down imo.

I guess heh :T, but I always thought the deepest part of rts was micromanagin
your army. But yeah, I take it back, the settlers is a pretty good game. Just add multiplayer and skirmish please.

    robocalypse is fun (weird controls)
warfare inc is a steal at .99 cents (biggest issues are that units dont attack while moving and lack of zoom)
    havent played red conquest
i enjoyed quantum collapse b/c i found it fun (but slow, ok graphics)
I LOVE red conquest!, everything about it is just perfect.

It's as fast as you want it to be - you can adjust the game speed.

Robocalypse is entertaining but the controls are simply awful and take away from the whole game. I think it was a good deal at the dollar I paid for it, but the controls make some levels almost unplayable

Just get the settlers. Any age of empire fans. The only think it is missing is skirmish, and in truth, that is not a huge detriment because the campaigns are so extensive. It is one of the best rts's I have played

You mean "Generic", but yes Warfare Incorporated is the best most polished RTS for iphone, not to mention you can make and download/upload your own maps and single player missions and play online with other people. IMO it blows red conquest out of the water (I would know, I have both).
