I hope I get lucky. I must have just missed being part of the first 10. I love the art style of this game and would love to play it.
Wonder what happened. I was the first to follow and retweet and I never got a code. O did it 20 seconds after they posted it so I know I was in there ??
Dylan, I was their 6th follower and didn't get a code either, so I don't think they've sent them out yet.
Just posted winners of codes on their twitter feed. I think they decided to just make it random people. I won one
Thanks simiotica for the fast response to my issue. New code worked fine. Had to post an update to let everyone know Gonna have a review posted tomorrow. This one's first on my list in the morning. It looks soo good.
So the winners were published on Twitter and promo codes are sent to them. The winners are the first 10 followers plus 5 randomly selected followers. Congrats to all the winners!
Okay here's my freshly posted review on iTunes: "This is a GREAT puzzle game. Not only is it's art style breathtaking, but the tilt useage to view the sides of the cubes is a breath of fresh air in the puzzle genre. Simply awesome. Going to be watching for future games from this dev. Fantastic work!" I do have a few suggestions for the dev to make this game even better: A better tilt control system would be great-the 2 angle options work but I really would prefer a tilt calibration system. When I set and play at my computer I find the game is always angled a little in what is my standard viewing position. New modes of course: Time attack, Different size/amounts of cubes-perhaps less for speed runs? More bonuses and anti-bonuses would be cool How about different shapes? octagons, piramids/triangles, trapezoids, parallelograms etc. Achievement system would always be a plus (plus+, OpenFeint, AGON even just give me a boost in either ) Basically I want MORE!!!! hehe this game is simply awesome. BTW one more final question for the devs-Was the design of the cubes inspired by Meteos? Because I can't help but think of that game when I see the cubes.
Thank you for the positive and constructive feedback! SN functions and different game modes are on the way. We'll consider all other suggestions as well. As for the graphics our designer told that she hadn't heard about this game (Meteos) before but now she says that Cubes 3D Revolution is nicer
When I first watched your video, I yawned and thought "Oh great...another Match 3 with no gameplay innovation." Watching the video I couldn't tell that you were rotating the cube faces. After reading people's reactions on this thread I wondered what they were gushing about. I had to read a bunch of reviews before I understood your core gameplay mechanic of rotating the cube faces. I think you really need to make that blatantly obvious to attract more interest in your game. It's a pretty cool variation on the match 3 genre, but I fear many will pass you by as just a match 3 with a bit of a 3D trick in the presentation. After playing Cubes 3D for a while I have the following feedback: The textures on the sides are too dark. It is hard to see the colors sometimes. I wonder if making the cubes slightly smaller and allow more space between cubes would help me to see the colors better. Calibration would be helpful. I find I cannot see the top side colors due to the iPhone's screen fading out a bit when rotated towards. The 0 or 30 degree option just gives me the opposite problem where the top is OK now but the bottom is hard to see. I get a lot of glare off of the lights in my room when tilting around. Maybe you could put a little thumbstick in the lower right corner to let me tilt around as an alternative to using the accelerometer. Great job on the presentation though. The graphics are top notch!
