Is it by the Accelerometer, touch, D-Pad....?

Is it a good recreation? Loved the game on Atari...

I used to play this game on my colecovision back in the day....
Looks EXACTLy how I remember it.
    No idea about the controls.
And only 8 levels??? What's up with that?

I used to hate this game when I was a kid. I was glad to see a port that I remembered, but I only have bed memories of this one. I'm sure it's great, though.

    I want my quarter back.:p

Any opinions on this? Use to play this in the arcade back in the day. Wish donkey Kong would make it's way into the app. store.

You have to wonder how long this will last, since it's a copy and not the real deal (which was spelled with a Q). Do they have the sounds right in this one? That's key to the while Q-Bert experience.

You're absolutely right. In fact, that's not a copy. It's a 100% blatant rip-off (other than the name which as you correctly indicated was with a Q).

  7. the screen is split into 4 quadrants of equal size

to move him, you just simply tap a quadrant. It's pretty responsive

    it's fun ^_^

    Apple "quality control":

No realistic blood and gore (see Zombie Mangle change to Alien Mangle), no cuss words, no "adult" situations, no check to see that the games run correctly (see Payback 1st release fiasco).

    But blatant copyright infringement?

    That's a-okay!

I think this has already been discussed in a few threads, but it doesn't look like it's Apple's job to worry about copyright infringement. It's up to the devs. Apple worries about Apple...they're not there to protect other companie's interests.....

Yeah...but the thing is that Apple takes a 30% cut of sales. So, y'know...it kinda is in their best interest to ensure that violations aren't accepted.

  11. for some reason, the 2nd level doesn't load

yes, i restarted my iTouch after installing the app

well, it loads but i can't see Q

i can press the quadrants and hear him jump but I cannot see him

    *sigh*

  12. I tried to DL this yesterday and was a bit disappointed it said only for the Iphone? Why would that be?

  13. update says they supposedly fixed that serious bug

can't wait to play the later levels
