Also if you want to level up stealth, remember to disengage it before you fire (or better yet, switch to armour). Shooting with stealth on flushes all your energy away and isn't considered a good thing. For the most points, get a kill within 5 seconds of de-cloaking.
I've got the reflex down for hit and run tactics. Run cloaked, see someone, switch to armor, cloak immediately after the kill and get as far away as possible to recharge. Ghosting people is fun
Just disappointed, nothing more than a dumbed down console game which has been poorly ported to PC. No 64 support, no DX 10 or 11, no SDK, poor SLI and crossfire support, so many game breaking bugs, no quick save, no destruction like the first, the nano suit has been dumbed down and the game is so linear now. Shitty excuse of a game, bland, generic, poor story and really boring. Oh and MP sucks, just hope DICE actually make a proper BF game again, hasn't been anything good from them since BF2 as they've just made shitty console ports since.
1.) A DirectX 11 update is coming...and the graphics are amazing for a DX9 game so far. I'm on a GTX 460 and the only complaint I have is some terrible textures here and there. This game looks great but also runs at 45+ FPS like a true game should. Crysis 1 looked great but could anyone run it until 3 years after release? Nope. 2.) SandBox 3 will be available this summer... 3.) The only destruction Crysis 1 had was being able to blow up those hay shacks. You can't really blow up a concrete building in Crysis 1 and doing the same in Crysis 2 makes no sense. 4.) Bad Company 2 on PC outsold both console version COMBINED. If it was a shitty console port why would the PC community buy it so much and then give it 10/10 ratings? 5.) Multiplayer? Crysis 1/Warhead have had only one or 2 servers online (the only one with players being the 64 player noobhunters.com server.) The old Crysis multiplayers SUCKED. Everyone hated it excpet the same 64 people that kept the noobhunters server alive. The new one is actually fun. 6.) SLI and CrossFire are driver issues coming from AMD and nvidia. There are also in game autoexec.cfg fixes for it you just need to search. 6.) The game is linear? Besides the first few missions, the game is far from linear. So much wide and open space to play. Why don't you look at the good points instead of bitching about the bad points? 1.) Considering how nice the graphics already are, DirectX 10/11 effects can only make this game look even better. Yes the console versions do hold the PC version back, but it's still the best looking game out on the market. 2.) The AI are a little buggy, but they are so much better than the AI from Crysis 1. Now instead of looking the other way and yelling "Where did he go? Come out and fight you coward!" like the Koreans in C1 did when you shot them, the C2 AI are actually responsive and use nice tactice. 3.) The Nanosuit is so much more simplified and better. You can get all the beenfits of Strength and Speed while in the normal Armor and Cloak modes now (no recoil, throwing people, jumping high, etc.). The only loss I see is that you don't run as fast. Could you Sprint and then powerslide while shooting Ceph Destroyers and at the same time being in cloak in Crysis 1? Nope. 4.) No more wlking through a forest for an hour before getting to the next Korean village. they got rid of the boring ass no action sequences from Crysis 1 and filled them with awesome gameplay. 5.) Crap story? Like Crysis 1 even had a god damn story lol? Crysis 1 story was empty...it left you with: Where did the aliens go? What do they want? How did they get here? What the hell is going on? What the heck are the KPA doing with aliens? etc. I could go on but I'll focus on my English Essay first and then continue.
just posted this but since this is the crysis 2 thread here it is..... Crysis 2 Easter egg remix YouTube: video
iphond> your logic is well demonstrated; yet is kind of rendered useless when you consider that both the Single Player and Multiplayer aspects of the PC version are broken SP - resetting Nano Points = pure frustration - they don't save, and they mysteriously vanish MP - ranks, XP and unlocks randomly reset (very often) and you need to re-re-re rank up in hopes of getting them to stick IMO - both of the above are not minor bugs - they are game-breaking issues which have completely demotivated me from continuing the single-player campaign and stopped me from caring about unlocks and playing on ranked servers due to the lack of proper functioning The game itself is fun - both SP and MP. It's too bad EA/Crytek aren't putting out immediate fixes for the above (while concentrating on providing other fixes at a later date). No excuses.
Well, I wouldn't say it's broken at all. I had the vanishing Nano catalysts bug as well but it's not a major nuisance and I barely noticed it. Doesn't affect the campaign much at all. I got my mp to work and I don't see any reseting of stuff, apart from one of the mystery dog tags I unlocked. Ranked servers are usually fine apart from the occasional one or two not starting. I switched to the faster cloak module and I actually enjoy it a lot. Helps out in situations where you are in cloak and you see someone so you switch to armor and take him out. I usually fire before armor completely engages so I drain all my energy.
I don't think it matters how fast you shoot after hitting uncloak/armour... I do it pretty much instantly and it doesn't drain my energy. As long as you've hit the button it's alright.
I think I'm shooting while it's in transition from Cloak to Armor mode. Maybe I'm just shooting before switching to Armor
I got the game, because all of you are so damn persuasive Haven't started campaign (want to really soak that in) but the multiplayer is decent. There's no real strategy, with the obvious approach being to cloak, then uncloak and go to Armor mode, kill some dudes, then cloak again. It's definitely solid-feels a lot like Black Ops in terms of the run and gun mentality you have to maintain. There is a surprisingly few amount of guns, and long range shots are pretty difficult to pull off Overall, the multiplayer is solid, but nothing more. Will start the campaign over the weekend-let's see if that justifies the price tag
Should get this today after root canal, I'll be crying but at least I'll have it. Then I can enjoy it over my spring break, which is next week even though it's started snowing again....
