I play only as a bard and trust me, when you get to the other areas or zones it gets more difficult. It's a fantastic roguelike, I almost missed out on it too since I'm not big on the rhythm thing. I highly recommend it.
I went for it and regret not grabbing it earlier. This is a quality roguelike that has serious legs even in turn-based/Bard mode. I just turned off all the graphics options and sounds, and set it to Bard. Using d-pad control scheme. This setup makes it a very enjoyable experience for me and its great having something lighter to turn to when I don't feel like firing up DCSS. In some ways it reminds me of Sproggiwood, but this is more fleshed out and the mechanics are more clever here imo. There's really something to be said about the art too.
Hi all! Thank you for your patience! We released a patch earlier today to address several issues (freezing on Game Center prompt, iOS 10 crashes). Please let us know if you continue to have any issues running the game.
I really dislike the new icon - it has nothing to do with the pixel art in the game and has zero personality overall - bring back the dancing skeleton!
Me too! The old one had a million times more personality and made sense for the game. Bring it back please!
Of course it did, but does a random enemy from the game make more sense than the damn guy the game was named after?
I love the game and thanks to the devs for continued updates. I did prefer the original pixel art style icon as well though. While the new one does show the NecroDancer himself to me it doesn't portray the games art/play style as well as before. That dancing skeleton was great to me
Yeah, old icon was much sicker.. agree with baracus, at least stick to the pixel art.. whatever, no biggie though
I agree with almost all of the other comments. I like more the other icon, even I haven't updated for that reason
I agree with everyone regarding the new icon. I like the artwork of it but the old one has a lot more charm. Luckily, I backed up the original icon pre-update and swapped it back using Filza after updating. Still bummed to see no fix for using edge controlls with 'tap to use'. I guess it isn't coming at this point. It's a shame that two of the nicest features of the mobile port can't be used together.
I am also having the UI issue on a 7+ running the latest version of iOS 10. Also preferred the original icon for what it's worth. Any idea when we can expect an update that addresses the former?
