Maybe, because it does seem like a game that should be more popular than it is. I recommend it, at least.
I think the only thing holding me back from recommending it is some major crash bugs after a couple of patches.
I didn't get any crashes, I use an iPad Air with iOS 8.2. I did encounter some display bugs when handling discarding of items from the inventory or some freezes when being defeated/winning, from this thread I think these happen when using Zoe. But zero crashes.
Hi again everyone,We're really happy to read your positive feedbacks despite the remaining annoying bugs. We sent a patch for review a week ago and we're still waiting for its approval so things should become better as soon as it will be released. Best,
Hoping the patch appears soon as Zoe is awesome when she works properly. Still really enjoying the game and it will be even better with all the bugs ironed out.
It appears to have dropped. Looks like it will address all of the remaining known major issues so I can't wait to dive back in.
Downloaded the update. Thought now is the time I'll give this a good run. Had bought it on its praise before and was waiting for all the bugs to be ironed out. But...is anyone having "save and quit" issues? Don't want you to lose your games, but I'm getting what seem like hang ups (no progression), with "save and quit" as well as resume.
I wasn't having any "save and quit" issues before. I'll download the new update when I get home and check it out. Having Zoe fixed would be great as she can be awesome.
I would love to see an in-game achievement list/description. Everything has a great menu & polish, then you click on achievements & it takes you to gamecenter. Great game!!!
Arrgh, while a lower priority than putting out the real fires, I'm with you on this one. I believe all local scores and achievements should be easily accessed in-game with a little inconspicuous GC button there for comparing yourself to other friends or global rankings.
So far no problems for me with the save and quit option. Didn't try Zoe yet as in the middle of a run with other mercs.
Had second "save dad" victory on normal difficulty with three hours to spare. Haven't had any issues with the new update. I think I'm going to reset my profile and start from the beginning. I really hope the devs are planning on additional content (wishful thinking on my part). Still really enjoying the game with 60+ hours in!
SPOILERS BELOW Are there 2 possible ending? The first when you are late and the the kingdom is in chaos and the other when you get there in time but are thrown into the dungeon by the king you just rescued? Quite a disappointing finale but the journey sure is a fine one!
I think those are the only two endings. I've had several "late" victories and they are all the same ending. I've only had two "on time" victories and both were the same ending you described. I agree that it is a bit of a let down, but the journey IS a blast!
My highscore right now is 7 days, 6 hours. I made some noticeable errors in the run (including a misclick that resulted in one of my heroes having a useless ability), so it's definitely possible to get a better score. However, it might take a while, since I believe getting a score that low requires you to obtain a rare item early called "Boots of Speed", which reduces the time it takes to carry out actions. So I might not ever beat it, and will just have to start dividing games into "boots of speed" games and "non boots of speed" games. I guess that's not so bad. Some brief tips: - Go north and kill the castle every stage. The rewards are well worth it. - Never search houses if it costs time. If you don't have to rest, just leave. - Tier list is roughly: Not Unlocked: Zoe-3, Erus-2+3 Tier S: Meledar-3 Tier A: Darion-3, Hero-2, Meledar-2 (really good, and maybe worth picking up over 3 if Meledar is your last mercenary), Theogal-2 Tier B: Melic 1+2 (IDK which is better), Halfarus-2 Tier F: Everything not mentioned - Never level up Critical Hit chance. If you do the math, you need 25 strength and 0% crit before 7% critical hit chance is better than +1 strength, which never happens. OTOH Critical Hit runes, which give a lot more, are comparable to strength runes provided you have highish (~8) strength. But even then, strength is more reliable and so is probably better anyway. - Prioritize buying as many runes and crafting materials as possible. - Use your potions!
Awesome tips! Will give that a try right now Never searching houses seems counter intuitive and could be my biggest mistake in all my previous games so far... we will see!!
Vivafringe: did you complete this run on Easy mode or Normal? Because to me it seems these tips are better suited for Easy mode since, for example, on Normal, I find it vital to search every house. Another matter: with regards to leveling up, as you are presented with 2 random options, they could be critical/dodge and I believe that if you are a character that starts with a higher critical you should definitely opt for critical. You can't always upgrade strength and with a Tier 2 Hero, you can reach close or even 100% critical. I do agree that if you get a critical/strength level up option you should pick strength. My other rule of thumb is that 8 health is high as you would want it. I do enjoy the randomness of it all as your own rules may change!
