Yeah man don't miss out on this one.. 3 bucks is a steal.. The normal price of 5 bucks is a steal really Update: I beat commander barka but got it handed to me by barbarians . I finally unlocked Zoe so maybe things will go better for me when I play later on tonight..
I hope that more people will buy this game and support Bulwark Studios! It's 15€ on Steam and for iOS you can get it for 3 Bucks now? C'mon, get it! I made it a present for my cousin's new iPad. Unfortunately, there is no thread for Crowntakers on the sale forum.
Thanks @kilnk.. I have a tough time doing that using the TA app.. Guess I have to use the web browser to post links and pictures.. I hope the price cut generates sales.. This is truly a great game
Your awesome ##.. Give it a chance, it's difficult but once you get the gist of it it's highly addictive.. I still can't beat the game on normal (normal is really hard lol) but I find myself playing at least once a day.. Question for you guys.. When leveling up what do you find most important? I tend to choose +health a lot but I'm finding this doesn't help much.. Should I go critical or dodge perhaps? I'm having a tough time striking the right balance.. Maybe health/dodge for melee mercs and critical/strength for ranged mercs...? Thanks in advance my TA brethren ✌️✌✌✌
Just took a spin on my first play thru. But failed on the last area towards the 3rd map. I was playing on normal. The game does not seems to have much tutorial. Like how to combat, objectives and etc. basically after the quick story intro you get thrown in to kinda figure out yourself. Good and bad here, for those who like to have at least some basic guidance at least at the start of the game might find things confusing or complex. I then later found that you can kinda get tutorials by reading the stuffs on that Jester in the beginning area. So far I would say this is a good buy and does deserve more attention especially being on sale atm. I do enjoy it thou not a big fan of TBS games. So I guess many others should too enjoy it if you really give it a try. Despite still early in the game I can kinda tell there are quite a bit of content in there with tons of replayability. For this alone I totally agree that it's a steal for its asking price especially being discounted makes it even more of a must buy. I think the control is very well implemented trying to mimick that mouse control on PC. In fact I feel the touch control here actually will feel more natural than the mouse clicking counterpart. Despite I never played the PC version but can kinda imagine after I watch some PC game play video. One of the thing I am impressed and at least made me enjoy it more than most TBS is they made the game really simple to play while keeping the complexity normally found in other TBS games. So it's really easy to get into it while tons to learn and explore.
Did for an iPhone 6+ on 8.1.2. It runs but I have loading issues when I try and save, making it pretty much useless. Shame because it's an ok size for i6+. Also fyi there's a Jb app called ipa installer which can install without editing the iPa. Let me know, and anyone else if you try for this game because I'd really love to see it fully working on an iPhone particularly 6+. It might be an 8.1.2 thing for me.
If I take my time of Normal mode, I usually beat the game. The challenge for me now is in beating it in as little time as possible. My general rules are: - improve health up to 8 - I improve critical or dodge depending on my character - if he starts with higher critical for example, I would take that route. With a few complimenting runes, you can get very close or even up to 100%. - use your character's special skills, those are vital. - use potions, but do leave some for the final fight - learn how to use the opportunity attacks, this is extremely important and the tutorial doesn't cover it. In essence it means to surround an enemy- if he tries to strike one guy, the other gets an attack on him first. - for your initial, non-speed runs, select the 9 hour search option. - experiment with characters Others might have other tips, I'm certainly no big expert, look at pages earlier on this thread, some very good insight posted (nod to Vivafringe on page 16!) I hope this helps! EDIT: I'm no big TBS guy either, however I found this game to be extremely satisfying, but I have to admit that due to the brief tutorial it took a while before it started clicking so best to stick at it. Currently my game of the year!
Yeah, winning the game on normal is fairly doable once you unlock a few mercs and their archetypes. Getting a good score is highly dependent on RNG though. There are numerous runes and items that are way op, and getting many of them in conjunction with one another leads to a fast run.
I've played this game for 60+ hours since it came out and have played only on normal with my best victory being 8 days 4 hours. Typically, I don't select Health very often when leveling. You can improve health with runes much more efficiently. Strength helps cause more damage on every attack and don't underestimate it for your ranged mercs. I select Dodge almost every time it is available as not only does it allow a merc to avoid attacks, but a successful dodge provides an instant counterattack. Having high critical doesn't hurt, but I prefer dodge and strength over it.
Is Zoe still bugged after the update? When I kill an enemy with her, she never gets the bonus action point.
She seems fine to me. I don't think she always gets a bonus action point for a kill (I'm not sure what the criteria is for this). She can be a killing machine and if she got a bonus action point for every kill, she would be quite overpowered (if she isn't already).
Finally beat the game on normal! Feels great.. I had to unlock all the mercenaries archetypes on easy but once I did I beat the game rather easily.. It took me 16 days and I was kind of disappointed by the ending lol.. Nontheless what an awesome game.. I hope a sequel is released or these guys develope another turnbased roguelike.. I easily put 40, 50 hours into this..
Still working for all unit archetypes. A few are still missing after that I will try to beat it on normal Gj
Takes some grinding but you'll get there Question guys, if I beat the beat in less than 16 days is there another ending?
