I just got the festive chicken today in the machine which is neat because I thought it would only be available around Christmas or by buying it. Time to get me some secret characters!
I keep checking for the update as well. The dev did say March. I've earned all the characters except for 1. Yay! I am hoarding all my coins for the update. Looking forward to it!
Sorry it's taken so long! We were planning to submit before GDC, but we just couldn't get all the work done in time. It's a big update! We're just waiting on approval before we release it into the wild. The Crossy Road chicken plush toys are only for promotional purposes at the moment, but we're hoping to sell toys officially in the near future.
Update is finally live! Sorry again it took so long.17 new characters including 3 secret ones. Generally they're lifted from UK + Ireland, but there's a few there from "memes" that happened in the last couple of months.
Love the new update! Played a bunch this morning and for once figured out all of the secret characters without having to google it! Of course, it helps that they were all fairly obvious if you've unlocked most of the previous secret characters. I also love the concept of having to Spoiler find a 4 leaf clover to unlock the Spoiler leprechaun . I've only unlocked 5 new characters so far. My favorite is definitely the squirrel. I love that you can Spoiler collect and store acorns until the squirrel's death. Having them spill all over and that high pitch squeak he makes when he dies is awesome!

Oh.... So sad. Would love some of the plushes. I've got my foster kids hooked on the game and they would love them! Um... Errr... I lied. I want them for me! LOL
89/89 I had been hoarding coins prior to the update. I had 17000 and I'm now at 4000. Not to bad. I was about to admit defeat but finally got my last one.
Fish and Chips is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Do you have it yet? It really cracks me up. Don't want to spoil it for you.
Just wanted to say thank you for the new characters especially the squirrel. I got him last night and he's so cute. I like how he can gather some acorns and that little squeak he makes when he gets hit! I made a new high score with the butterfly the other day...344!
Not yet! It's high on the list. I just got the schoolgirl on our work iPad and she's pretty funny. My favorite so far is definitely the squirrel. Too cute.
