One of my favourite deaths... I don't know how to achieve the second secret character yet, but I've also thought about the truck with the box on it. I haven't had that "get this character and/for 250 coins" thingie. I own 50/53 characters, but I think the secret character is number 54. I'm missing the dragon, the white sheep and... I think another one, but I'm not sure. @Devs: "piggy bank" in Spanish is more known as "hucha", not as "alcancía". They are synonyms, but it's a word none of my students would know, but all of them know the word "hucha".
The second secret character is unlocked by playing as the Festive Chicken. You'll encounter something and it will be unlocked. Also, the Piggy Banks doesn't appear to count toward your character total.
Yeap, I'm missing the secret character, the white sheep and the dragon. I believe the piggy bank doesn't count, but it's cool and useful to have it. Can anybody confirm if the "250 coin" character thingie is a "purchase the character AND get 250 coins" or "purchase the character FOR 250 coins". I've got around 300, but I'd like to know, to spend the coins in the machine or not. Thanks.
According to the devs on Twitter, there appears to be a special character popup that allows you to buy a character and receive 250 coins as well. There are also character previews, where I'm assuming that you're given the choice to play as three characters and then purchase it with coins. I've unlocked 51 of the characters and I can't seem to get either to trigger though.
I got it at about the same distance you did, but not on my first attempt. I had been playing that figure for a while before it happened. It also popped up again later in that same run.
Well, in Filipino (which is hugely influenced by Spanish language), coin banks are called alkansiya (just a different spelling of alcancía).
Buying it just for the support. I could just earn everything I needed to get all the characters, etc., but I love supporting developers. Done.
Does Piggy Bank give a passive bonus or do you only get extra coins when playing the game with the Piggy Bank character? Ideally I'd like to (1) support devs (2) get the bonus and also (3) play random. TIA!
After purchasing the Piggy Bank, red coins will appear in place of some normal coins. The red coins are worth five coins instead of one and you can play as any character and still get the coin boost.
piggy bank is very generous...it seems to do three things: add red coins worth 5, watch ads for 40 coins instead of 20, and I've noticed a nice increase in the gift you receive every six hours, the first gift i received after buying piggy bank gave 380 coins! Never seen that much before so Im assuming it's from piggy
Yeap, piggy bank increases coin income quite a lot. I've been able to play around 25-30 times the machine after I bought the piggy bank yesterday. It's like a coin doubler, but better I'm still missing two characters though: dragon & white sheep. Quite unlucky in the machine with these two until now...
Hi everyone. Sorry have been "head down" the last few days after the update. Glad you're all enjoying the piggy bank. It was something I didn't want to put in originally but we had a lot of requests for a purchase for this. Once we came up with the idea of putting in an actual playable piggy bank we got quite excited by the idea. What do you all think of the character trials too? Good feature? And congrats on finding the secret character. Now that we have a bit of time to play with we want to ensure that we hide a lot more secret characters in the game in ever more elaborate ways. The photograph "selfies" have been in the game since launch but we realised that not many people knew about them. So now it shows you the snapshot and you can hit the share button to take a closer look. Looks like the update has been popular and we've just had our biggest download day and sales day
I'm not getting character trials, quite possibly because I'm just missing the dragon and the white sheep. Thanks to the piggy bank I've been able to play a lot in the machine, but unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to get those two characters. I'll keep on trying though The only thing I don't like about the piggy bank is that it doesn't count toward character collection completion. In Asphalt 8, premium cars also count towards garage completion. I think the piggy bank should count too. Oh, and I know I already said so, but... I WANT A PLATYPUS
Love the new character trials, I have had the option pop up three times now, great way to preview before purchasing. Awesome game and in my opinion the best reward/unlock system in any game I have played. This is the only game that I come back to several times a day to play and to collect rewards.
Status + Tips Currently, I have 50 out of 53 characters. Only ones missing are: Big Fat Pig Epoch Dragon Favorite Character [is still] Poopy Pigeon. However, the Festive Chicken also rules. Tips to Get "Hidden" Characters [in case you don't know]: Festive Chicken Spoiler This one is easy. Just go to the list of characters and you will be able to "buy" it for $0.00. Otherwise, play for a while, and it will be available as a character to "purchase." Gifty Spoiler Play as Festive Chicken, and you will eventually come to an area that has Christmas music. In the middle of this are is a green Christmas tree with a gold cross on top. Tap the tree and gifts fall out of the tree. Touch one of the gifts with your character and die. The Gifty character is unlocked. Hipster Whale Spoiler When you progress through the river area, you may see something that looks like a blue turtle. If so, jump on this, and you unlock the Hipster Whale character.

@VirtualBoyFreak; lol at your ghost ! It appears he's haunting the train @klicktock; I too am not getting character trials but I only have 33/53 unlocked. I also keep iap restricted most of the time unless I intend to buy, no idea if either of those are why. Could we possibly have a red fox someday, please? They're adorable. Also well done on "gifty!" It's my new favourite now (previously it was the penguin, third fav is poopy pigeon, lol).
