The art changes, and obviously the sounds that the character makes. It's a snow level basically. Daughter Number Two chose the turtle lol.
Just unlocked the Dark Lord... he has the trailing flames. You'll see torches flaming throughout the level as well.
Analysis: Game is positively charming, but a tad slow and I'm having trouble hopping sideways (I go forward instead.) Perhaps this is due to my aging iPhone4. Makes me want to reinstall Cluck It! Also: the first movie I watched (My Singing Monsters, yay!) hung buffering with 5 seconds to go and no way to exit. (Ugh.) Conclusion: Easily worth the price, the characters are a blast, and if you like it the IAP nets you a nice bonus. Good game.
A question for the developers You seem to have done one of the best and most fair free to play games I have personally ever tried. I know and understand that you cannot be very specific, but could you share if this model has met your expatiation's and been successful at least early on? It would be encouraging to know that you will be staying around and are profitable, and maybe more developers will follow your lead in the free to play area. If it has not met your hopes then I'm very sad as the game deserves to make you guys some money as you have done a stellar job. Be neat to know some early game numbers you are monitoring beyond just the money related ones too. Top five purchased characters and the like, whatever. I'm interested if no one else is!
If only 5% of the one million downloaders bought at least one dollar of IAP, that's still $50,000.00. It was already shared in the forum that they hit over a million downloads in the first few days alone.
So love this game. Frogger was an arcade favourite back in the day. They have actually improved on it whilst retaining a perfect retro look. Bought two characters to support the devs. Best I got so far is 152. Love the 99999999 scores. So real. #
@Developers: Two things First off all congratulations on your success! You deserved it, when I see > 1.3 Mio people in GameCenter, I guess your game must be downloaded somewhere in the 10 Millions?! Second - Resume Glitch? Usually when you are hopping and you close the game, you will resume with a 3 second countdown where you left off, when you open the game again. I'm not sure, but after a longer period of time or maybe when the free gift is available again, the game just restarts and you're losing your progress. Are you aware of this issue?
It's a well done revamp, no argument here. It's also funny, although you can convey much more with graphics today than thirty years ago. It still feels too smallish. I didn't even feel the drive to unlock anything. Oddly enough, it takes a level of concentration that you don't benefit from in public transports, so you need to be in a calmer place, but when in such places, playing this kind of games wouldn't be my first choice. An iCade version might be good too. Now, this studio clearly has the large ressources to support more interesting concepts. If the team could make a more original game and mix it with their clear knack for nice visuals, it would be much better imho!
That should be good enough if the game maintains its position. Thing is, they clearly had to spend huge amounts of cash to get where they are so they need to recoup all that before. But anyway, 1st spot is such a massively profitable spot that you shouldn't worry guys.
I've gotten the chicken two times in the machine so far. Considering how long you have to wait/grind to earn coins, that's kind of an irritating bit of code.
Got the most ANNOYING Crossy Road Character. Just blew him up! Might be interesting for all of you, who haven't seen an explosion in Crossy Road until now. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
The ads have stopped coming up that give you 20 coins. Is there an ad limit for the day or is it a bug?
That's twice you've stated as fact that this developer paid to have chart position. I'm curious as to your source for this?
