Nah, I was way too occupied with playing Chrono Trigger, so I haven't checked out this. Just now I am taking a closer look.
"Crimsonheart will be your time machine for christmas" ?!? What's that supposed to mean? I'm fairly tolerant with translations but for some weird reason krpgs tend to suddenly become free after I pay for them P) So how does this play out on the ipad?
Bought it, eventhough description is in Korean, game is in English. Only checked out 2 min of tutorial and then hit the premium store menu but it says unavailable in the tutorial. Anyone recently bought can confirm that there is IAP after the tutorial in the $0.99 version? Off to work do can't check myself.
sorry i can't help. i may not upgrade until i figure out what's the changes. because honestly i dont care much for having that premium icon in the corner
The network connectivity stuff is proprietary and frankly strange. You even have to use a feature phone style keypad to enter your name. Oh well...deleted.
LOL, I saw it as a funny addition, to have your name entered in an old mobile keyboard style. The network stuff just means that there are a lot of server-based activities you can use. 2:2 ladder games, 5:5 ladder games, an online dungeon, online boss battles and a lot more of multiplayer things. Also, when you feel that the game becomes too hard, you can go train and get better equipment in the online dungeon or rewards in arenas. Also good for farming items and potions. Really funny, reminds me a bit of the Crimson Gem Saga dungeon, where you just went to train your char and other things, I guess like sending your friends mails and stuff or money, trade items, there's even an online storage chest where you can put your saves and precious items to be stored on the devs server, so they won't get lost. A special guy in every village can send you to the network island, where you can complete or do lots of other stuff. Nothing to worry about.
Quick impressions (ipad2): The network thing is annoying but not needed. I still played without authenticating to the server. The music is enjoyable. The controls are almost perfect. If they would allow me to reposition the dpad (?) that would make it perfect. You can move diagonally, which i really like. Playing the first areas I can see its not just button smashing but rather you need to know what you are doing. IAP: it has a wide array of items to buy. Most are unecessary but I do not like that there are equipment sets in there. Also, you can purchase dungeon tickets there too. I hope you can get some for free. Overall the gameplay is one of the best i've seen on a krpg. The gfx are real nice, controls almost perfect and the story seems interesting, for once. For 99c it's a go!

Is this an action rpg like diablo? (I do not generally like the slow turn-based ones with the cutesy sprites like Zedonia, but I do like action rpgs.)
Can't pass title screen? I bought this game and the game won't start. I get booted back to the springboard everytime. Any help please?
Ok, I stand corrected. I was spending so much time with boring text, wandering in the useless town, not appreciating the anime style graphics, that it just felt like it was turn based. I realize that isnt a common reaction to the game. . . but I loved diablo, liked Dungeon Hunter, hated Zenonia.
Wow it even includes party play! I can control 2 players (and more I think) at the same time! This game just gets better and better and I'm getting really familiar with the controls. The first slime boss was awesome!
Initial OMG action followed by another OMG reaction and trailed by further OMG double-takes. Initial phase: OMG! NO SCREEN ROTATION!? Not to mention it rotates to the right. Hands on impression: What-is-this!? Perfect controls, flashy graphics, detailed environments, sleek animations, floating orbs, cool spells, non-button mashing combat system, two skill trees focusing on physical or magical skills... I can go on praising the game but I won't list out every single reaction. In short, the game set a very strong and memorable impression. Post-tutorial impression: Gamevil style IAP!? (calms down a bit) It's not as bad as I initially thought... since it seems to fit nicely between Wild Frontier and Gamevil style IAP. A mix of expensive yet worthwhile premium packages. Not necessary for purchase but definitely offers considerable incentive in buying them (unlike Gamevil's plethora of overpriced items). 1 hour gameplay impression: HEALING cost increases by level!? OMFG a full heal costs around the same as an equipment at my current level! (affordable, but still pricy). Damn my health is dripping out like a fresh open wound... Combat is not mindless and quite challenging too. Good stuff! Love the degree of danger in combat, makes you value your life for once . I could probably recommend this game to ppl who like KRPGs with depth, in all aspects of the game. There's quite a lot of activities beside combat and questing too. However, I personally don't give a crap about crafting or enhancement because it's so damn complex and requires arduous gathering of random materials so that's about all I can comment on it.
