But controls are amazing and the sprites look friggen awesome as well. Thanks L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #14 L.Lawliet, Nov 30, 2011 Last edited: Dec 1, 2011 hmmm based on the file size, sad to say but it looks like it'll be pretty blurry. a big rpg that's 12 mb compressed? that's just way too small unless it magically uncompresses to 50mb lol i just got it so i'll post impressions later when i get around too it. so excited! i got IB2 too edit: wow the icon words are SOO BAD. not only is it "crims...eart" but there's a TM on the end. wat da fack?? i swear do people even look at these things when they make it? how can they like how it looks?? edit 2: couldnt resist so i've tried it for about 3 minutes. i'll eat some of my words. graphics are very decent. and the interface is a beauty to look at - i feel like they've maximized the screen usage. fighting moves very smoothly and the movement is very good (however it's almost too good that on occassion i can't aim at enemies because i'm not facing them exactly). there's a cool combo meter in the corner and enemies show their stats of buffs/debuffs supposedly. and not sure if it's the enemies but every few guys i kill i get a random power up that gives me attk speed boost, x2 exp or something of that nature. i'm assuming it's the enemies and not an item i'm using. they also drop health and SP nice! also magic charges up before it summons so it adds some more strategy. they also look damn flashy! looks better than the gamevil designs by far. in fact, the past few minutes makes me think they've outdone gamevil. the art is also a main selling point to me. the sprites + drawn art look very pro and unique. plus look at that monster in the screenshot. it looks so beautiful that i don't even wanna kill it! i guess i might have to say that the price might be justified.... just maybe. this is just a speculation but the high price could make up for any stupid ridiculous IAP that you might suddenly need in other KRPGS lets hope after 10 minutes the game doesn't magically start sucking cuz i'm starting to fall in love =p lets see so far: Art: amazing *side note: these characters look better than the underaged children fighting in Zenonia Sprites: above average interface: above average control: amazing gameplay: decent magic: above average mechanics: above average customization: very limited IAP: unknown uncompressed: 20.8mb (should be 10-20mb more in my opinion for sharper graphics) hmmmmm looking worthy of $5. if you're wondering what sets it apart, i think being better at everything is a big part of it lol gunxsword Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2010 2,556 0 0 Sydney #15 gunxsword, Dec 1, 2011 I just need these 3 questions answered. @L.Lawliet Is there auto aim in combat? The combo system does affect the rhythm, and the enemy animation is good enough to clue you in on attacks (so you can back off, use a special skill, etc). When you are surrounded, though you gotta spam away. Once you see the visuals in action, though, you won't really mind. 3) For melee attacks general direction is fine. Hmmmm Theres also a mini map at the center of the screen so you always know where you're going. There's ingame achievements and ingame stats. And five characters you can use once you meet them. I'm really loving it. May be my favorite krpg yet! Only got a feel for the combat via the tutorial cave level and -- wow -- it feels great for a KRPG. I've played many KRPGs, and I could totally overlook the awful localization and fetch quests if the combat mechanics/controls actually felt good and scratched that action RPG itch. This game feels good. Animations are abundant and smooth, framerate is great, and the art is just the cherry on top. No remorse yet, but I'll reserve judgement.
