First gen ipod?! Dude... do yourself a big favor, scrape together at least $230 and get a Touch 4. The upgrade will be massive!
First gen Ipod? I think you meant Ipod touch. The game run smoothly since I own a 1g Ipod Touch and play my games on it. Items do not change the characters' appearance. I'll only upgrade when games don't support the 1g Ipod Touch anymore.

Yeah it runs very smoothly on my iPhone 3G too, probably due to it being a 2D game. Fieldrunners, PvZ, MonsterKill are always smoother than NOVA or Hero of Sparta. I read somewhere that one item changes Killian's appearance, the final and most powerful armour or something.
omg the control is killing me how do i choose the exact item i want? when i press the item it neither jump to the top or the bottom.
Swipe gently in the middle of the menu until you get to the right choice. Don't tap on the option till it's highlighted.
This game is nothing like Nate Games other RPGs. There's no comparison: CGS is simply the best traditional turn-based JRPG in the App Store.
remind me to buy a 16gb iphone ... just deleted real racing, skate it, rolando 1, nhl 11 by by 2k, predators, and a few more to install it needs more than 800mb and i got 1gb free now and it says not enough space
except of the horrible control (i keep go in and out between maps) this is a really decent game, didn't regret buying it
