Has anyone invested in Henson's wizard aura? Is the skill working? Cos it doesn't seem to recover any mp for me...
I really like this game a lot, but I'm really getting sick of this medallion bug. All my skills are level one, and I'm over level 40 on all my characters. It's pretty rediculous. Please look into this bug. Every battle is near boss battle difficulty. I'm even dying in some cases. Please give us that are struggling with this, a hand.
Take your medallions and go upgrade the skills, for crying out loud. The bug is not stopping you. In any event, the developer has already said they're working on it.
Where are you the game? I'm also level 40ish and haven't used any medallions and I wouldn't say the fights are that tough? Currently going through the Moonlight caves.
i really love to play this game i'll wait for the update when do you think it'll come if this game's just 50 mb i'll be willing to download a daily update
Just use squarezero's tips: use all bronze medallions at once, then you can back to menu screen not stuck on select character step. The problem to me is 1) after upgrade for one char (multiple skills are allowed), you can only select the first 2 chars by pressing the right lower corner area and cannot move the cursor down to other chars 2) if you have more bronze medallions than level 1 skill, too bad, you need to wait for the update. So I did upgrade immediately whenever I got any medallion. So I always has no problem. Most my skills are either in lvl 2 or level 3 now
Thanks for the tip. I am pretty far with level 1 skills and it has made for a grindfest but I am still very happy overall. I guess unless I get more level 1 skills to max my medallions...I will have to wait for the update. Good thing Madden will be released later today.
I just went to the Ziggurat and got my first Bronze Medallion in a while. I was surprised to find that I could activate it, select any character, and back out without using it. My main problem with the skill upgrade system has not been the Bronze Medallion bug but how few the games seems to give out. I've always had way more useful skills than bronze medallions to go around.
Game Impressions I'm nearly 10 hours in myself. Some impressions... -The menu controls were the most atrocious design choice I had ever seen in a videogame, almost to the point of me immediately deleting the game off my iPhone. Then I calmed down and figured them out, and they're working perfectly for me now. Really, you just gotta spend a few minutes learning how exactly to swipe, and then you're set. No big deal, but the first impression isn't a good one. -The audio and visuals are beautiful. I really enjoy this graphical style, as I'm fond of 2D RPG's (Dragon Warrior, SNES era FF, Tales series etc.). -Surprisingly robust skill trees. -Great dialogue. I've actually laughed a few times at some of the lines, where normally RPG dialogue humor doesn't move me. -No problems here with the fixed D pad controls. -Ambush system is great. Makes things more interesting than standard random encounters. -Overall this has the feel of a highly polished DS or PSP RPG, not a cellphone RPG. It's a huge step up from some of the other games I've played for the iPhone, though I still enjoy The Quest and look forward to Aralon. I do have a question about SP though. How exactly is it distributed? Most of the time Killian gets all the SP for me, but sometimes another character will?
Your statement about the menu system is exactly what I've been saying all along on this thread -- but better stated. Unfortunately, first impressions matter a lot -- I hope that most people persevere and "get it." SP is shared between all your party members -- it's not specifically assigned to a character.
Thanks for the info, I didn't realize that. Also gotta say, this game sounds great with a good pair of headphones on.
Yeah, the music score and sound effects are great, and the voice actors are actually decent for dubbing. The only issue I have with the sound is that there's no option to adjust the separate volume levels, and as it is, the voices are annoyingly loud compared to the SFX/music. When I'm playing with the headphones in, I'll finish a battle and then suddenly "THAT'S HOW A CHEVALIER HANDLES BUSINESS!!11!1" actually makes me wince and I end up having to turn the volume down. Obviously something to be fixed in an update (adjustable volume levels, that is). Also, I'm encountering the heal bug that was mentioned earlier. When trying to use the skill 'heal' out of battle, I can only heal Killian/Spinel and can't back out of the menu without using up all my MP, so I have to restrict its usage to in-battle, while using 'quick-fix' out of battle.
I was able to recreate that heal bug finally. Personally, I rarely use Killian's healing abilities because they don't give me enough bang for the mana buck. I'm also finding it easy to stay well stocked up on medium hp pots. Hopefully the first update will take care of all these small skills-based bugs are taken care off with the first update.
