Help! I can't seem to figure out a way to learn skill no matter hoe I tried. I have 999 SP and the screen keeps having "Skill Learned!" message in the skill tree window. Can't learn any skills...
kk so you are on your first skill... you just swipe to the right hand side and you should go onto some skill with a ? or u know it but it says XX SP needed to unlock. JUst press A button to put in sp points! Takes a little getting used to, just swipe like mad till something happens LOL thats what i did!
The menu controls are very easy to use once you get used to the flipped direction. As for sliding them, you do so like you would when using the psp directional pad to move each individual tab. I can understand any difficulty you may have with them though. It also feels like they made the game a bit easier on the idevices. Because I remember the psp version being a lot more difficult.
lol, never thought to swipe the skill menu, so confusing but once u know it's easy. They need to fix the whole menu thing or at least give player some instructions
I found out that the bug only starts kicking in once Spinel (your second party member) joins. Before that, you can upgrade skills however you want and go back, but once she joins, the 'invisible selection box' for going back a menu seems to disappear, and you can't go back without spending all of them. The menus seem to be hit and miss for some people. Ever since I discovered the quick swipe though, they were fine for me.
That there is the difference between us: it takes me one try to select something in the store, not 3 or 4. But clearly the sensitivity should be tweaked, and the overall method better explained -- particularly in the skill upgrade menu, where the way a tree branch is followed can be confusing. But for me it's a minor issue, especially considering the scale of the larger achievement of porting this game to the iOS.
How do you do the combo follow up attack on iPhone? In PSP version, by using physical attack only, you get a certain chance depend on your character's WIL that after the attack hits an "X" sometimes appears below the char and if you press X button immediately your character will do not one but two hits and if your character has high WIL like Spinel, "X" might show up one after another and resulting numerous combo hits just in one turn. I wonder how u can do it on iPhone version
Last time I did a critical with spinel I noticed the A button appeared near the center of the screen for just a sec. I thought it was a glitch but it might be how you get those combos
I'll keep my eyes open for that. You can learn character combo attacks in the skill upgrade menu (similar to the mix techs on Chrono Trigger), but so far I've found them a bit weak (though they look great on the screen).
This is a fantastic game. I see a lot of people are having problems using the store, and so did I for about 10 minutes until I figured out how it worked. It's a bit counter-intuitive, but with some playing around it shouldn't be impossible for anyone to work it out. I'm actually surprised by the quality of the game, and the port. I was really disappointed by the other Nate port I have--Itarus, but this one doesn't seem to have anything gamebreaking or even that annoying in it (for me). Although I saw someone mention there is a problem with bronze medals? What is it? I haven't had any issues with that yet.
Nate did Itarus as well? There's a stark difference between that and this game, ha. Then again, Atlus was involved in this one. The bronze medal issue is that after you get your second party member, when you try to upgrade your skills with the bronze medal, you'll have to use all of them, otherwise you can't go back.
I love futurama. This game sounds even more appealing now that there is a futurama reference in it LOL Buying it tomorrow!
Ah, I see. I'm not sure how that affects the game, but it doesn't sound like a serious problem, or is it? And yes, CGS and Itarus are very different. Odd that they're ported by the same company, I agree.
